Spam notifications
-
Hello!
For a few days now I have been receiving spam notifications in the top right corner of the browser window.
I have had before. I could only eliminate it by completely reinstalling vivaldi. Is there another possibility?? Very annoying!

@snoopy48 What do these notification say?
-
The usual ads: lose weight, buy cheap, sex
-
@snoopy48 Run malwarebytes. It has nothing to do with Vivaldi.
-
Well, could also be a combo of Push Notifications and Service Workers - the plague of the "modern" web.
Unfortunately not obvious how to remove once they've infected the browser.
First go to the URL
chrome://settings/content/notifications
and see if you've accidentally allowed notifications from some sites. If so click the dots and choose Remove. Then go to the URL
vivaldi://serviceworker-internals
and click Unregister for all of the entries just to be sure.Lastly go to Vivaldi Settings > Webpages and under Default Permissions choose Block for notifications. You don't need that crap.

@snoopy48 Great
I'm interested - did you have both Service Workers and sites allowed for notifications?
