      @catweazle:
      I already know that and I have it configured to delete at logout, but this only deletes the browsing history, remaining in the browser:
      1- the history of recent closed tabs (which indirectly shows you all the browsing history).
      2-the download history
      3-the autofill history
      From what I see, they care more about privacy remotely (which is fine) but they remain vulnerable in terms of privacy on the pc, in case you use a computer shared with other people (either, at work or in your house). Currently, almost all chromium-based browsers (even Edge on windows, which I use on w10 and vivaldi on manjaro), except chrome, allow you to delete the "complete" history (browsing history along with the 3 mentioned before). I understand that this may be difficult to implement, but it would be nice if it could be done, even if they put a "button" next to the trash of recent closed windows that when using it allows you to delete everything

        @gabito , true, it would be wishable to expand somewhat the possibilities in 'Session only'. Well anyway with the Site Bleacher extension, I have stored only the data of the few sites I visit regularly, like this Forum and little else.
        Meanwhile has to serve Shift Ctrl Del for the data and 'D' for the trash, which can be tolerated until a corresponding function is implemented in Vivaldi, which they will surely do sooner or later if exist a Feature Request about it (I think so)

          @jon I loved Vivaldi like love in first sight. I got an issue on mobile verification. So, I left it almost two months. Now suddenly yesterday, I thought to mail back the Vivaldi help line.

          And check, with in 6 hours, they have solved my problem. And I am here... (forever...) πŸ™‚

            @guigirl ??? with V update activated only 1 entry

            alt text

            Maybe a registry error, Vivaldi update.exe isn't a independent app in the list.

                In some earlier version there was introduced a change, that newly created tabs get to be attached to the current tab stack by default. I couldn't find how I could change it back. I didn't want this, but OK, fine, so be it. I went around this to create a separate mouse gesture to remove current tab from the tab stack.

                But now this mechanism is broken. If I try to remove the new tab from the tab stack, either with a mouse gesture or with a command in the context menu, the WHOLE STACK gets dismantled. Interestingly, from what I see, only new tabs present such broken behavior. Please fix it.

                  @pepkin88 That is how the "New Tab" action behaves. However, Vivaldi also has a separate action, "New Top Level Tab" that will always create a new tab outside of the current tab stack. The "+" button on the tab bar will always open a top-level tab. If you want Ctrl-T to behave the same way, you need to reassign that keyboard shortcut. Likewise for the "New Tab" mouse gesture.
