Right now its impossible to add bookmark between folders with URL D&D.

Can you please add a good locking mechanism, which would enable the user to use a password to access his account ? While the others can browse as guests and cannot see my history ?
-
Option to align the content in the bookmarks bar to the left/middle/right.
Choosing what bookmarks to display as icons-only, text-only and both per bookmark, overriding the default setting for the folder. -
Thanks for the "paste and go" in address bar.
How about a "copy link text" in the right click menu within the main browser page view?
I second the motion !!
To be able to Right Click and Copy the current URL to the clipboard is a real necessity for me.

"Intelligent" domain suggestion based on bookmars and history
Right now when I start to type domain name, typically Vivaldi suggests three groups of addresses on the list below:
1. Search engine
2. Bookmarks
3. HistoryIt would be another one (first or second on the list): plain domain found in history and bookmarks entries, eg.:
I have in the history URL: foobar.com?xyz=3e32&dede&r4r=de or foobar.com/bla/blabla
and when i type "foo" browser might suggesst also simple foobar.com domain, without any extra arguments. This may by nice feature in ebay like services. Right now I have to add extra start-page to my bookmars for every page this type.

I am not sure what the problem is. I can copy the link text after selecting the link, e.g.

Forum Vivaldi Browser All platforms Vivaldi Feature Request Reply

I have URL: https://vivaldi.net/en-US/forum/all/746-vivaldi-feature-request/reply
And if I select only part of this URL (https://vivaldi.net/en-US/forum/all/746-vivaldi-feature-request/) whole URL si copied either and I paste https://vivaldi.net/en-US/forum/all/746-vivaldi-feature-request/reply.
Please, copy only what I really copying. -
Please, consider Export/Import feature (ehm, not consider, it is crucial feature!) for making backups (not everything I want upoad on web if some "Vialdi Link feature will be released"). I want export settings of whole Vivaldi with tabs, bookmarks, notes, panels, sessions, keystrokes, extensions with their settings, passwords (and whatever you imagine). Now if I need reinstall browser I must making separate TXT files for copying texts and make screenshots of settings and also have encrypted file with passwords too. Backuping is primary instinct of every living creature. And as Lenin said: "Backup, backup, backup" (or something like that).
-
I have Tab Bar on left side, Panles bar on right side and I want, need, Bookmarks bar also on left side between Tab bar and webpage itself. Maybe not so bad also idea about more then one Bookmarks bar - one on left side I have with my personal selected bookmarks, and other Bookmarks bar at the top with my selected work bookmarks - separated on from other but still easily accessible.
-
If I press Ctrl+D menu for add bookmarks will show - In this menu I can choose in which folder I want to save - but this folders has no tree style, everything is together - little bit a mess.
-
Please also make Opera-like context menu "Paste form Notes" and "Save as note".

Thanks.

I was just downloading a Image for a Raspberry Pi, via Bit Torrent using Opera, the single BitTorrent client I had,
Now I've got two wishes for the download-Sidebar/Menu, specially for the right-click dropdown-menu:
- Opera 12: "Advanced >" shows the default Windows Explorer right-click-menu
- Checksums: For obvious reasons, a menu-Point for calculating various checksums (md5, sha1, sha2, sha3, are there other important ones?)
(and I miss the ctrl + J shortcut for the opening download tab)

Please add this feature:
1. Open link next to currently opened tab. Right now there is bug, it's opens links in reversed order, where the most new link opens last in order and old links closes, it's not convenient because I usually opening many links from one website and then there is mess.2. Another suggestion is to stack websites by main domain name and probably stack them in one tab.
I hope you'll implement it, or at least through some plugin.

My request is similar to the one below.
Something quite usefull for me in Opera is the combination of:
a) The use of session cookies only. & b) Setting exceptions to the rule (cookies to keep at end of session)Please allow "sticky" cookies. (copied from Security and Privacy after I just found this thread)
I just went through and deleted a bunch of cookies. It's tedious.
I almost never do this because it takes so long to do. There must be an easier way!
I want to keep some cookies which actually do something useful, so I don't want to delete them all.
It would be really cool if I could mark the cookies I want saved (in some persistent way) so I could tell Vivaldi to delete everything except the "good" ones.
As a workaround, it would also be good (but not as good) to be able to store a file of just the good cookies (after having manually deleted everything else) and to use that later to overwrite the current cookies. There's a cookie manager add-on for Firefox that has this functionality.
This is not nearly as good as marking cookies would be because you have to go through everything from scratch if the set of cookies you want to save changes. It would also restore the "good" cookies with old saved contents, not what they currently have in them.
This would be even better if there was an option to do it automatically once a day (maybe the first time Vivaldi is opened in a day). (Doing it every time the browser is opened would probably be too often.)

VB-14933 Feature Request: Find in Page searches entire Tab Stack
It would be nice if Find in Page would find text within any page of a tab stack.

Quick Command Bookmarklets:
When you open a bookmark via Quick Command it opens in a new tab, which is fine.
BUT:
If the bookmark is a JavaScript Bookmarklet it won't work in a new tab.
Instead it should be executed on the current page. This way bookmarklets could be executed easily via Quick Command

Hi guys,
Could you please re-work grouping functionality for tabs:
1. Add collaps/expand (as in Opera);
2. Add ability to change tab orders in groups; And a small bug:
When you restore a window with groups from trash groups are not restoredThanks in advance
-
Right now its impossible to add bookmark between folders with URL D&D.
This… the one thing I'm missing. In Opera one could take a tab and drag it into the depths of the bookmarks tree...
In Vivaldi I still have to use the add bookmark dialog which is a bit messy as it lacks visualisation of folder structure.
Which is a pain if you have hundreds of folders.Bookmark bar already has a new "add current tab to folder" feature.
Would be great to have this function in the context menu for sidebar folders, too!!And congrats to v1.0 guys. Looking forward to further improvements to this fantastic browser

My requests after switching from Chrome:
- The ability to drag tabs to open a new window, instead of right clicking and selecting "move to new window."
- The ability to scroll click previous page to open a new tab with the previous page.
-
A feature i am missing since Opera12 and haven't found in any other browsers yet:
Windows instead of tabs!
Call me old fashioned, but i never got the hang of tabs, i am still using windows instead of tabs. Can you please bring back windows?
And all that links with that like:- Hide Tab bar if only one tab is opened
- Open windows instead of tabs
- Ctrl + left click on link opens link in new background window
- Shift + left click opens link in new window
- if the last/only tab in a window is closed, window should be closed too
I would be so happy if i can get that window based feature back! there is NO other browser around and i am still using 12.17 day to day!
thank you in advance!

Hi Vivaldi Devs,
I clung to Opera 12 for a very long time until it finally became untenable. I switched to Maxthon, and now I'm trying Vivaldi. So far I'm really impressed with 1.0, it definitely comes the closest to replicating Opera 12's feature set of any modern browser I've tried.
Here's the biggest gotchas so far for me:
- No ability to assign a mouse gesture to switch to the next/previous tab - this is vital!
- Missing 'properties' entry in right-click context menu. This one can be worked around with a chrome extension, but since vivaldi's goal is to be full-featured, it would be lovely if this could be brought back natively.
- I can't find any way to quickly toggle my proxy on and off. I use a proxy for most of my browsing but I frequently toggle it on and off for various reasons. Vivaldi doesn't seem to support this use case.
- I can't find an option to always delete my browsing history upon browser startup/shutdown. Vivaldi also keeps asking me if I would like my passwords for various logins to be saved, and I don't see an option for "never ask, for any site, ever". I prefer to browse with persistent cookies but essentially no history or other preserved data - so private windows aren't really a solution to this problem. More granular control of privacy settings for normal windows would be very nice.
