(History of) Vivaldi Feature Requests

_Jesus. H. Christ. Why does everyone have to know more about the business a guy is in, than the guy himself? And what is all this paranoia about "I'm extremely worried that a product I have never seen, used or heard about before, might turn out not to optimally conform to my standards, so that I can abandon what I'm ALREADY using, and switch to it?"

Calm down! I thought we were being asked for our opinions and feature requests. So far I think the browser is great. I am delighted it's happening. I have already said both these things - something you seem to have ignored in your rush to brand me a "hater". My post was opinion/concern and a few feature requests. You talk as though I'm the f***ing gestapo kicking down Jon's door and telling him how it's going to be. Do what you like I don't care. I just thought feature requests/opinions were being solicited. If that's not the case - or if you only want approved opinions/requests then I will leave you and your "friends" get on with it and refrain from upsetting you further. Why yes: requests/opinions are solicited and appreciated. When one is building amphibious cars, however, a request/opinion that the customer wishes the builder would not waste his time and resources making them able to float, seems a bit out of bounds. Don't you think? When you ask, "how can we improve this project?" the expected reply is generally not, "abandon it for a different project."
Further, those of us who have been pining for a usable browser with a competent email asan integrated element, on receiving an announcement that a developer will be offering a usable browser with a competent email client as an integrated element and asking, "how can we best do that?" are not going go welcome responses along the lines of, "well, it's nice and all, but please don't follow through on the email part. I think that's a waste of time."
See?

I'm really liking it so far, but there are a few things I'd like:
1. Being able to name your tabstacks.
2. Hovering the mouse over the zoom bar, and zoom in/out by scrolling the mouse wheel.
3. Being able to empty the trash bin.
4. An icognito mode
5. Being able to change the pictures of the sites on speeddialThere's probably more I'll think of, but overall, I'm really impressed with this browser!

I would like Vivaldi to have AdBlocker type software to remove AdWords from the top of Google search results automatically.
-
Feature requests:
1. History sidebar panel button with same functionality as browsing history from speedial - just like bookmarks are in speeddial as well as sidebar panel (like in the All-in-one-sidebar for FIrefox)

2. 'Open in background' menu action for links in page (it is there for bookmarks)
3. Bookmark search (see under what folder each bookmark resides - even with right click properties views when hovering over result)
4. Single-click for expanding/collapsing bookmark folders
5. Bookmark, History search results: View url in status bar when hovering over result

1. When I point my cursor on the very top of my screen there is like 6px space where you can't switch the tab. This is very annoying and you can't move your mouse towards the top corner of you screen and instead u have to precisely point-click on certain tab to switch it… Coming from google chrome this is extremely unconveniant.
2. When I have let's say 5 tabs open, I'm sitting on the 3rd. tab when I close it by clicking little "x" on it, it automatically redirects me to previous tab instead of the next one. I use to open a lot of tabs on some forums or ebay auctions and then go through them one by one and then I have to first close the tab I'm on, it will take me back to previous one that I already viewed and have to manually go to second one instead of a situation where after closing a tab i'd automatically go to the next one.
Ugh... Hope I've made it clear enough. :c
EDIT: Ah, and adblock support is top prior ofc.

A few issues . . .
Font in the menu is REALLY small. Don't care about the font style for now, just size.
BOOKMARKS: love the full screen manager thru speed dial screen, but when I try to type a nickname or description, keyboard response is very slow, sometimes reverses and deletes characters.
At some point, would like to see bookmark import function Opera 12x specific, rather than having to convert html.
Don't consider myself a power user, but have been using Opera since maybe v. 3, and used the power I needed. This new venture (or adventure) is amazing. Some one said it looks a lot like Opera, as if that is a bad thing. It is not!!!

OR boolean support in the "find in page" search box.
Anyone supports this, too?

"2. Hovering the mouse over the zoom bar, and zoom in/out by scrolling the mouse wheel."
On Mac, pinch to zoom (maybe other platforms, but Mac users would be especially happy!) -
About private tabs, maybe make them use a dark gray (or black, light gray, something) diagonal stripe overlay and a lightened version for unselected tabs
-
- Bookmarks recycle bin
- Notes recycle bin
- "Paste nad open URL"
-
Being visually impaired and a power user I was a huge Opera Presto fan. Firstly a big thank you to the Vivaldi team for going against the stream when others get lost in over simplifying their software.
First impressions with the Vivaldi browser (Windows user)
Special features that I really like:- The "page action" is a wonderful accessability feature
- The "tab colour coding"; that each webpage gets it's own colour tint makes it easier for me to see which web page I'm on without having to read the tab text.
Feature requests:
- Mouse gestures (not having to look for a button when you have low vision)
- Customisable UI window/text size for HiDPI users. Atm the borders are unnecessary thick using W7 150% dpi.
- Skinnng (loved the Z1 glass theme on Opera)
-
client side or custom javascript like in old opera
that is per page and is loaded last in page header -
On the speed dial page - When you click the add button - you should have an option to add/select from the current open tabs
-
Не хватает структуры при поиске закладок в боковой панели и в окне закладок. В Opera 12 такая возможность была.
There is no structure by search of tabs in a side bar and in a window of tabs. In Opera 12 such opportunity was.

How about either a good music player in the panel, or a way to see what audio is from what tabs (but not an icon in the tabs, that takes up too much space)
One could login with their accounts (soundcloud, google play, itunes, etc) and get their online music, no tabs needed, less cpu usage
Even just something to control the audio coming from tabs, play/pause, volume, etc -
About grouping tabs…
Teach Vivaldi to group the tabs automatically by website or date when user hit a special button and ungroup them as user hit this button again. -
I miss the Opera 12 customisable bookmarks bar. I love having it on the right and with Images only style that way it is even thinner than the pannel in vivaldi. Plus extensions - need adblock and private tabs
.

Ditto on bookmark bar and private tabs. Could care less about adblock (tho a couple of the Chrome Store adblock apps work in Vivaldi).

Built-in would be much lighter on the cpu, though
