(History of) Vivaldi Feature Requests

Don´t know, if it´s already been requested, but i´d like to request that, if you click with the middle button on an empty place on the title bar, a new tab would open, as it´s atm in the Firefox and as it was in the old Opera 12.
It´s always annoying to find the right spot for the New Tab-Button, as there are some pixels above the button, who are not reacting on a click, and also as the button is also always on an other position, related to the number of tabs that were open.

Middle-click and double-click on an empty space in the tab bar both create a new tab.

I activated the option "Use Native Window" and after that I could use the middleclick on the tab bar to open a new tab. But now I´m left with an awfull white titlebar, whitch doesn´t fit into my dark style I use.
It would be nice, when these function would also work, when I don´t use the "Native Window"-option.

You are the third I've seen report this odd behavior, so I moved my tabs to the top of the browser (I normally keep them on the right side), and I'll be damned if it doesn't happen to me, too. Tabs on side, works as expected. Tabs on top, either with or without horizontal menu, double-click re-sizes the browser, and middle-click does nothing. I'll make a bug report.

I feel like having animations when tabs are closed (like chrome) will make things feel a lot smoother than they currently. It makes the change in position of the tabs a lot clearer.

keyboard shortcuts + mouse feature:
can I change "Ctr+Shift and Mouse LButton" to "Alt+Shift and Mouse LButton"? -
I would switch browsers if 2 main features were available:
1. Add a keybind-option to open a link/bookmark as a tab in the current stack of tabs
Example: You are in tab 1 in stack 1, press keybind and then the link/bookmark. This causes the link to be opened after the current tab (opened as tab 2 in stack 1)/at the end(opened as 'tab x' in stack 1).2. SYNCHRONIZATION! Please add an option to synchronize settings across multiple computers. At the very least add a way to export your current customization, so you can manually transfer it between computers. It takes a lot of effort to set up the same keybinds/look.
One more small thing that would be nice:
- Add support for dragging bookmarks/open tabs in to the speed-dial folders. Would make it a lot more user-friendly!
Hope this will be implemented, as the features are super-useful!

Please include an easy way to override global cookie settings on a site by site basis - While you are on that site.Pre Opera 12 it was 'right click' - 'cookies' - then you set what you wanted for that URL.
Normally for me it would be
block 3rd party
delete all cookies when exitingBut we don't want to use that as a global setting, some sites we want to retain settings.

I am in love with Vivaldi's themed UI that changes color based on the current webpage, but I've noticed that unfortunately on many sites the color doesn't change or is not correct. I know that it is likely just an algorithm or something that picks colors out of the page, but I'd like to be able to overwrite the detected color. My suggestion is a right-click action labeled "Set UI Color for This Site" or something like that, and when clicked, the UI would change color permanently on that domain to the color which was right-clicked. I'm curious what other members of the community think of this idea?

Some features I would like to see:
[ul]- The ability to click and drag tabs into a new window/create a new window like in Chrome.
- Show download speed in download panel.
- Don't show warning about keeping dangerous files on all instances of browsers, just the active window.
- The ability to change whether new tabs should be focused or not (ctrl-click is an alternative, not a solution).
- The ability to change toolbar icons and remove the search box if search in address bar is enabled.
- A hard one, but I would like to see synchronisation between Google Chrome and Vivaldi using a Google account. If impossible, then just synchronisation using a Google account.

Docking Developer Tools (as in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, IE, etc)
It would be awesome to see the possibility to dock the Vivaldi Developer Tools to the side or bottom. As a front-end developer that's a need to have!

So many features requests, so many great ideas, such a great potential for Vivaldi ! But also: so much work to do for the Vivaldi team
I have some features requests of my own, but right now I just want to let the guys at Vivaldi know how much we love them, and wish them good luck with the development of all these features :cheer: -
When saving a session, don't save pinned tabs.
Pinned tabs, by definition are 'always there' and currently, when you try and restore a saved session you end up with duplicates of these pinned tabs. You then have to unpin each of the duplicates before you can get rid of them.

Is it possibe to add a "Drag & Drop" feature between Bookmarks and speed dial? Or is there already an option to enable something like that?

I really like the nice icons for the default bookmarked sites. I would like to be able to upload custom icons for sites that I add so they look just as clean.

After downloading Vivaldi for the first time today I quickly noticed the usefulness of the web panel features, which brings me to the following. I would like to see a feature where the width of web panels stays persistent for each individual panel. For example, a Twitter feed could be wider than the Downloads tab when opened up.

I'm still using Opera 12.17 and Vivaldi because few of important features are missing ! ( I cannot believe that they release even a major version without does.)
