Ability to pull a tab out into another window or new window (like in Chrome)
Also
when "Stacking" tabs, visually it isn't obvious what the hell you're meant to do, and it took me a while to figure it out. Maybe if when you held it over another tab the tab didn't so easily move away from the tab your trying to put ontop of it? or if when you click and hold it over, it did some kind of gesture/animation to suggest if you let go it will combine? It's basically not that easy to do, or visually suggestive?

This is a very niche and rather complex proposal, so even if you like this idea don't get your hopes up.
I would like to suggest a column mode for text selection, manipulation within the browser.
This feature should allow the selection to either regular blocks of page text or follow the flow of the column-wise data. When following the flow, the selection would be collecting the data in a logical column, which represents the data relating to a specific field or fields even when there is an irregular presentation of the data due to varying lengths of data in preceding fields.
Also to allow the selection of whole column, everything from here to the start, from here to the end. Or even from regex pattern A to regex pattern B. Albeit, in that latter case just for fun, these two patterns may be specified to capture multiple columns, not necessarily contiguous either.
The columns being able to be defined as either html tables or by a pattern such as TAB or COMMA delimited (as a user specified value), with enclosures like "" (also user specified).
Then all that remains is to be able to sort, show only rows relating to distinct keys, count and count based on a regex pattern. These operations being able to be compounded on top of themselves or each other in reference to a data set and that action stored as a macro and or in relation to that web page or domain.

Hi
Thanks for that great software. It was my standard-browser for one year now. at home, and after it's oficially finished, I'm going to use it at work too.
I have two suggestions to make.
1. Add a hotkey to toggle images. Per now, one has to hit that minute button in the status bar.
2. Privacy concerns. The browser identifies itselv as Vivaldi. I understand that this is in the best interest of your company, but might be a privacy problem. Vivaldi is, and will be an exotic browser to use. Websites can use this info to personally track users. This would be a concern to me when using Vivaldi both privatly and at work. Would it be possible to add an option that Vivalid identifies itself as Chrome? -
I'd love to be able to use [CTRL] + [PGDOWN/PGUP] keyboard shortcut to switch between tabs. This shortcut is almost universal among many apps that feature tabbed interface, but it's missing from Vivaldi.
-
The feature I suggest seems easily coded. And I may have missed something if it is already in the list.
Yes, it is already in the list, at least it is in the latest Snapshot build RC2

You can add it yourself in Settings, Keyboard, Tabs.

Use different websites' search functions and integrate them into the address bar
ie Search Rotten Tomatoes ratings from search bar:
rottentomatoes.com
rt The Hateful Eightor
Lookup actors/actresses for a movie
imdb.com
im The Hateful Eight -
I'd like the browser to give some visual feedback after clicking a link while it's waiting for the server to respond to the request.
Chrome and Firefox both give a rotating loading icon in place of the website's icon in the tab, as well as some text saying what it's doing in a small pop-up strip at the bottom of the page. When waiting for a response from a server, the rotating loading icon spins counterclockwise, and when receiving and displaying the data it spins clockwise. The text also says something along the lines of "Waiting for…" when waiting for a response.
I like the way Vivaldi does the feedback when receiving data from a website: the loading bar on the URL bar, and the size and number of files shown on the right of it.
But it needs a way of showing that it's waiting for a response after sending a request. Without it it can feel like the browser (or computer) hasn't registered your click on a link, or that you've miss-clicked.If it does already do this, or if there's an option to turn it on then it really needs to be more obvious, or on by default...
EDIT:
The loading bar behind the url bar going backwards to indicate waiting for data from a request works pretty well, thanks!
(If it was doing that before stable version 1.1 and I somehow managed to not notice it, then sorry for being a dumba**) -
I'm requesting the great Opera 12-Feature
"Tools/Preferences/Forms" in Vivaldi (user-defined text for auto-fill forms-feature!!)
Can anybody give me feedback if this is already in the ToDo-List?
Any idea if/when this will be implemented? Thanks a lot and keep up the good work! -
Move Trash button to the address bar / addons place
Why are you suggesting to move it there?
1. I like to see Tab bar clean.
2. List of closed tabs overlaps extensions/address bar
3. Firefox has the same button on the address bar. Also I dont like cascade menu and its different width:
(I think it is a bug, because I don't have another Window with 1 Tab)Firefox List of closed tab looks much better - there is no cascade menu:
People who use a lot of extensions may not like to have the trashcan fill one of those spaces.
I agree. Maybe separators may help in this case.

Make Vivaldi remember the filters selected on a page.
I use Filter Invert to get a dark/black design that is easier on the eyes. Everytime I start the browser with my stored pages I have to select the filter all over again. It becomes tedious. -
Move Trash button to the address bar / addons place
Why are you suggesting to move it there? People who use a lot of extensions may not like to have the trashcan fill one of those spaces. On the other hand, it should be possible to move all these things around. And we are working to a more flexible UI in that regard!

In O12, I think you could add, delete, and move buttons pretty much wherever you want. So instead of making the trash can on the address bar a default placement, make the UI flexible that anyone can move buttons wherever they want.

Scrollable bookmark bar.
-
- Wand. Specifically, having the ability to fill in login information/choose between my log ins with a keyboard shortcut.
- Keychain integration on OS x.
/\ both of those things are the ones preventing me from using Vivaldi as my main browser.
Other stuff:
- Customization needs to be meatier. Native buttons, separators and flexible spaces, choosing the positions of every item in the UI. I'd like to put extension icons on the tab bar, for instance.

It would be very nice to see:
1. Dragging tabs to new window or between windows like in chrome
2. Some navigation buttons for web panel - for example while using YT or some tech news site - Im used to click side button to back in history but main window is in controll. Scrolling in web panel and normal window works great - why not use 'mouse position check' to not only scroll properly but also navigate?
3. I think that web panel could be made out of tab - more less like in notepad++. This could give user some more control to web panel like I mentioned earler. This could be also even more useful for bigger screens like 2K to have not only 2 but even 3 panels/tabs open in the same time in the same window. I know 3 may be overkill but i think that there could be some crazy users which could use even 9
4. I can't find options for resizing tabs vertically - I mean I can't lock tab bar from resizing. at the beginning i didn't know about this and by mistake resized this bar and under tabs were 1-2 px of preview. Very long time i was wondering what's going on.
5. I don't know why but facebook even while Web Panel is set to desktop version won't show me full size site - it's still mobile
6. ctrl+w on last tab should close window -
Hi, I want to be able to drag'n'drop speed dial tiles between the different folders so that I can organize them neatly.

Middle mouse button (scroll) clicking on Previous page button in Chromium opens previous page in a new tab. In Vivaldi it does nothing.
In addition, when you click RMB on Previous page button and then click one of the previous pages with scroll, it opens that page in current tab like if you have clicked LMB. I think it can be changed to open that page in a new tab too. -

This one shouldn't be too hard to implement. Added to the list!
