Kindly provide option to set proxy server manually rather than fetching it from IE browser.

Kindly provide options like, take it from IE, take it from Firefox, take it from Chrome, or script or enter manually.
It provides more flexibility to users.

Hi,
first of all: Thank you for the great browser. I was still searching a replacement for Opera 12 - now I found it! Great work!

Three features I wold like to request:
1. Enable search fields for individual search engines as separate fields in the "Bookmarks Bar" (incl. "search in current page") this way you dont have to open a drop down every time you want to search with an engine other than your standard search engine. –> See screen shot.

2. Bring the "history" to the side panel
3. Bring a function to show all links on the current web page to the side panel (last symbol on the screen shot) - helps a lot e.g. when downloading more than one picture from a gallery page.

I feel the need to have a chrome-like option for pages to be opened at startup:

Open Last Session Tabs unless it was only 1 Tab, in that case open Speed Dial (or something else)

Can you make mouse gesture showing the current gesture detected status while user holding the right mouse button. The status should be shown in the status bar. I found that it is underutilized at the moment.
This feature is useful to user because the user can know what current gesture they will invoke if they release the mouse button at that time.
The behaviour is much the same as FireGesture Firefox plugins.

Hello GMayr, maybe the short keys are useful for you:

For example, go to Settings -> Search and add a search engine:
URL: http://dict.leo.org/ende/index_de.html#/search=%s
Description: LeoEN-DE
Short key: leo
Type OK.
Now for the search, instead of typing e.g. "tree" into the adress field and then clicking search with leo,
just type "leo tree" in the address field and hit return.

Please add support for desktop notifications for sites you added to the web panel.
And also something like chrome's web apps, so I can open whatsapp web in it's own window without the interface.

HOST KEY setup [ like in virtualbox]

In Opera 12 i have set keyboards in My way like this:

Alt + W = close Tab
Alt + 2 = next Tab
Alt + 1 = prev Tab
Alt + … = ...

and Alt + T = new Tab, which in Vivaldi does nothing, but
i cannot set.

So it would be nice if i could switch those Host Ctrl, Alt keys
since i use Ctrl for edits only, and Alt is easier to use not
moving hands away to press Ctrl.

I was able to set that one.

Edit: I had no trouble setting whatever shortcuts I wanted. Alt P was already in use (for Preferences), but I was able to delete that and reassign it to Pin/Unpin Tab

Customize application for viewing source (and perhaps other protocol as well)
Vital feature to web developers. Currently, the source viewer in Vivaldi is limited to just viewing.
Allow the download panel to be displayed in a tab or separate window so that it doesn't reduce the browser's viewable area.
Minimize memory usage. This will appeal to a wider range of users, especially those with a slow system.
Sound notification for finished download, loading failure, etc.

It would be helpful if the Setting dialogue remembered its last used Tab position.

1. Open the settings dialogue
2. Select one of the tabs, e.g. Keyboard
3. Modify something, and close the dialogue
4. Reopen the settings dialogue

Expected behaviour:
Reopen the dialogue at the last used position as in Opera 12.17 with Show Preferences, -1

Actual behaviour:
Result: Dialogue opens at the top every time

Possibility for disable sleeping tabs in background - because wakeuped tab did not load cache but load entire page again and send all requests (!) again and this sending request is problem, mostly on some applications (like internal pages and services at work).

I was using Yandex Browser, but it is not stable. I tried Vivaldi Browser and it is lovely and perfect, but there is a missing feature that i like. Yandex Browser has "Double Click to Tab to Scroll Top" feature. If you double click on the current tab, browser scrolls to top of the page. I hope we can see this feature on Vivaldi Browser.
