I would like to suggest to implement 'Pie Menus'
Current Result:
When the user right clicks on an element in Vivaldi a context menu roll-outs. The entries of the context menu are adopted case sensitve, which is very much appreciated.
But the elements are always arranged in a list below the cursor.Expected Result:
When the user right clicks on an element, like a hyperlink/ picture/ page/ et cetera in Vivaldi, the context menu opens.- Available elements are adopted case sensitive.
- Most often used elements are arranged around the cursor, the user can access elements with a shortest movement.
- Less often used elements are arranged in a list below the cursor.
Additional Information:
For an example, please see http://youtu.be/oRB3czKhP1I?t=42s -
I mocked up something like that
I think something like that would be good for a tab right click menu, but with a way to select multiple buttons at once, eg. bookmark then close, etc
But with a different design, no text, just icons maybe, text tooltip, or briefly appear then fade within a second or two -

I agree that this method of arranging menu items can be very efficient, but if gestures are used in conjunction with it (as in the video), they may cause conflicts with existing (non-menu) gestures.
My approach to the "less mouse movement" idea in Opera 12 is to just remove the unused menu items.

The bookmark bar in tech preview 2 is a step forward. Now add an option to locate it vertically left or right and i'm happy!
(The panel takes too much space to have it open all the time) -
-Have the same feeling on the appearance. Needs a way to change colour. By preference give people the ability on the first startup to personalize the browser.
- Also agree on Thrashcan icon. Needs more right-click features; Ability to customize/remove thrashcan.
-Also missing right-click feature on Speed Dial folder names. Currently there is no way to change the name when set.

oh and yes…maybe another thing:
- to be able to move tabs under the bookmark menu (optional) not only bottom, top...

As a software developer I can see a lot of benefit in the notes feature things like testing. I'd really like to see the ability to share your notes with other users. To be able to describe something in my notes then share it and have another user click a link to see my notes and screenshot.

As has been mentioned already, KeePass's autotype function doesn't work (not sure whether that's something KeePass's devs could fix or whether it would have to be changed on Vivaldi's end). I'd also like an option to have Vivaldi never ask to save passwords, since I use KeePass for all password storage. Finally, I haven't found a click-to-play option - a way to prevent plugins from running unless clicked.

A while ago, I had an idea for a right click menu that one could use to execute multiple actions in one(ish) click
(see attachment)
During mouse hover over the tab, the text slides over and a down arrow (menu) button is shown. Click that for a circular menu. One drags from the red circle to the icons, which represent the actions that will be run. The attachment shows "add to speed dial, bookmark, then close tab"
Closing the tab is always last
EDIT: 2 pages

- Ability to choose independent folders and bookmarks to show on the bookmarks bar.
I like to keep my bookmarks in logical folders, not all of which I want on my bookmarks bar– which I use for quick access to favourite sites.
-import search engines from Opera 12
It seems odd that there is an option for Firefox and IE, but not for Opera.-close button for the Edit Bookmark panel
Reselecting 'Edit' isn't an obvious way to close the view, which I only tried out of desperationAlso, sooo glad for a proper bookmarks panel.

Unlike most browsers, Vivaldi doesn't have a loading icon on tabs (yet?)
Most just replace the favicon.png with a loading circle .gif
However, I think something similar to Vivaldi's loading bar could be implemented
Maybe a bar behind the text, or color the text black instead of white (which wouldn't work on many sites)
Or possibly have two thin bars, one above and one below the text, white filling in over a lightened variant of the main color
Anything is better than no indicator -
It would be really nice if when you opening links with right click "open in the new tab" the browser wouldn't move you to those links instantly, so I would be able to have some links opened before actually moving to their tabs.
-
This is another post about loading bars on tabs
Possibly only on background, but I mocked it up for both
Maybe instead move the text up (or down) and put the bar below (or above) it

Regarding bookmarks, could you add and option to just show icons without text in the bookmarks bar?

features for bookmarks:
make them sortable (alphabetically, date added, … custom logic)
make selection, copying, moving, deleting of multiple bookmarks possible (when importing and managing, one by one approach is inefficient ) -

Indeed. At least the options O12 had plus any new ideas people can come up with to turn bookmark management into the most efficient system possible.
make selection, copying, moving, deleting of multiple bookmarks possible (when importing and managing, one by one approach is inefficient )
Good idea. +1

Looks like we will get that in the context menu. In the meantime, middle-click on link will open it in background tab.

I'm sure this is coming, but +1 anyway.

If there is an option to show only bookmark icons, how about this as a sub-option: show the icons side-by-side rather than one-on-top-of-the-other. Listing them vertically means there will be a LOT of unused white space. Placing them side-by-side would allow for a very large number of icons in a very condensed space.
However, there is a problem with showing only icons. If you bookmark 10 YouTube pages how do you differentiate them? The same icons is used for all. So, it would be necessary to be able to set this on a per folder basis.
I'd like to see this.
