Tab behavior
When closing a tab: Add the option to activate the next tab (the tab to the right of the closed tab, just like opera 12 behavior)
New tab: Allow the user to specify a default site/url in new tabs instead of using speed dial.

Just playing with Vivaldi for a very short while (on a couple Linux Mint boxen). Looks very good.
A couple feature requests:
Proxy settings and support for SOCKS4 and SOCKS5 proxying. (I tried –proxy-server=127.0.0.1:1080 for proxying via an ssh connection. No go.)
New tab behaviour: Middle-button click and right-click->Open link in new tab should behave the same, or be configurable to do so, IMO.
I'll keep playing with it. Thanks for the browser!

I love the idea of saved sessions. I'd like to see sessions accessible in the same way that bookmarks or downloads are.
Also, could you add the ability to update the current save of the session? I have a session created using two tabs side by side where I'm reading through two different (very long) sources. I'd like an easy way to save the pages i'm currently on (one click update or save to session) so that I don't have to create a new saved session every day.

Any chance for FIDO/U2F protocol implementation on future Vivaldi?
That would be great!I second this request. Even Firefox has a working extension that supports this important authentication feature. For Vivaldi to not have it would be a grave mistake.
I just tried today and I can confirm that Vivaldi 1.0.403.24 (Beta 3) beta (64-bit) already supports U2F using my Yubico Security Key!

greatwork until now! Vivaldi is going to be the real successor of Opera 12.
After experimentig some months it is now my default browser under Windows.
Even on a mac I use it more and more.The features I miss:

Extra search bar for search in page

easier adding of bookmarks in the bookmark panel (flag in address bar is ok)

Probably the only thing that keeps me using Firefox is Vivaldi's inability to create new windows on the second monitor by dragging a tab out of the current window. It's really essential for me because I always use two monitors.

I'm a new Vivaldi user so, maybe something I will say already exists…Features I would like :
- Possibility to open all the URL in Bookmarks bar in one click (without folders). Maybe right click or a button somewhere ?
- Possibility to be redirected in a url when we open a new tab
- Possibility to remove the big cross button in Speed Dial when we have no element displayed (I have a custom background and I would love to see it all)
- Possibility to not open the Speed Dial Tab at the start
- Add right click menu in bookmarked folders
- Drag & Drop an URL directly in a bookmarked folder

Hi, a very useful feature would be, if it is possible to directly save a tabgroup as session. Or generate a session out of all selected tabs (selected via Strg + click on tabs) This option could be accessible via right click on the tabgroup/tabs.

I formerly used Evernote "Clearly" - but that extension is no longer available, and the feature isn't really well implemented in the web-clipper extension yet.

I have some request and improvements that will be nice to see in the Vivald…First of all this how the tab is manage lets compare Firefox like and chrome (Vivald) like:
When you just open some pages is all fine but when the number grows becomes unusable way to browser and manage this tabs. And have more, when you have a Youtube page with the new sound icon to mute on that tab is almost impossible select that tab because is so small and the icon is so big, if you are in that page have more one icon the close button. So this tabs manager is a complete mess.
So, the improvement is more like Firefox manager you tabs and seems the right way to do this.Tambermonkey, when you go to edit a userscript you press ctrl+f to find some code you got 2 search 1 of browser 1 of addon.
On browser start, I have some pinned tabs like web.skype and gmail.com but this page do not load just preload. So my suggestion is to load all the pinned tabs on browser start.
Speed Dial on darktheme need goes dark too.

Quick Commands 2.0
Up until a few builds ago, the behaviour of QC was that when you completed entering a nickname, it would automatically load the related page, then following and update that didn't work, along with nicknames no longer being highlighted. Then a couple of build later the issue was fixed but the, admittedly unusual, result of completing the nickname auto-loading the page was not added back in, suggesting this was always a bug. However, I really liked it when it did this! It made opening frequently used sites a breeze, so please could this be added back as an option? Vivaldi users love options!
I also think QC could be expanded in other ways to make it more powerful. It is after all Vivaldi's signature feature which no other browser has.
URL field accessibility
What with Quick Commands, visual tab switching and the numerous Keyboard shortcuts available, (and the ever present scourge of the 16:9 aspect ratio screen and the search for more vertical real estate while browsing), going full-screen is becoming more and more practical. There is however one feature which is missing for me personally which is the ability to highlight the address in the URL field. There is simply no way to do this without exiting full-screen mode. Would it be possible to change the behaviour such that when you press F8 (this normally highlights the field) in full-screen mode, it pops down with the address already highlighted? This would be awesome!
Mouse Gestures
One of my favourite features, but missing the ability to edit gestures and add shortcuts. Please expand this!

Would be really glad to see readability reader built in Vivaldi!
Firefox has open sourced readability, derived from the original Arc90 Labs. Should be cool to implement that!

May I make a plea for full User Stylesheets support like we have in Opera 12?
Vivaldi already has the basis of it with its Page Actions.
It's a fundamental part of CSS: stylesheets can originate from the user as well as the author. The Web, through CSS, gives power to the user to influence how pages are displayed (unlike print media where the power is all on the author's side).
Many of my own stylesheets make use of Generated Content (:before) to indicate selected elements.
I use it, as needed, for such things as: suppressing on-screen navigation prior to printing (nav {display:none}); indicating all hyperlinks (they aren't always clear); showing page outline (i.e. headings only).User styleheets can also be invaluable for developers. The new Pesticide CSS Debugger is a very simple example. You can reverse-engineer a page's wireframe; expose the use of HTML5 sectioning elements; provide a lint for deprecated elements and attributes; and so on.
Vivaldi's Page Actions already allows one or more user stylesheets to be invoked at once (allowing modularisation). Opera 12's implementation has these features not yet present in Vivaldi:-
Stickiness: once invoked in the browser, the stylesheet is applied to all pages subsequently downloaded until it is turned off.All user stylesheets can be toggled on and off at once (Opera 12's Author and User Modes).
Until Vivaldi implements multiple users, there is a problem that each upgrade overwrites the user_files folder where the style sheets are stored.Thanks guys for all you are doing.

Hi, I'm new to vivaldi and testing it beside my regular browser Sleipnir.
I do like especially the Web-Paneel and the stacked tabs, but I'd like to suggest the following features which make Sleipnir very unique atm:

I like to have my tabs as pictures, without title. Sleipnir has a very fine solution for this (see attachments).
It takes a minimum of vertical space and lets move through a huge amount of tabs in a short time -
I'm often using a laptop with a cumbersome right click with the touchpad. Sleipnir lets you open a link in a new tab with long-clicking it with the left mouse –> perfect for fast tab opening on a notebook!

Loooong time Opera user and now a long time Vivaldi user (it's been my main browser for quite a while now). I know back in Opera's heyday, the huge amount of features was one of the main attractions of the browser, but my browsing habits and desires these days have been pared right back - personally, the more minimal my browser, the better. As such, I would love if Vivaldi had the option to use a Chrome-style Download dropdown, rather than the Vivaldi side panel. I keep the panel off entirely and don't really like how it turns itself on every time I download something. I know I can stop it from doing that, but it means that the browser has no real visual way of tracking downloads while they're going. A Chrome-style dropdown accessed from the extensions section gives me a really quick method of checking all my downloads without getting in the way of the rest of the interface.

I have a little idea, but I'm not a developer, so correct me if it won't work.
But I prefer the way that browsers like Firefox and Opera display the address bar text much better than Vivaldi. It's thicker, smoother, bigger, more accurate fonts, and just looks more professional. As Firefox is open-source, can Vivaldi use the source code of Firefox to make the text on the address/search bar look just like firefox's until they can make their own or fork it?
On that note, can Vivaldi also grab FF's font rendering and use that until they can make their own or fork it? What would be the possibilities of that?
And how long would it take to do this? Is it a one hour job, two-three hours, a copy-paste job with some slight editing, and is it worth it?
