AutoCAD Web App Unsupported Browser

AutoCAD Web App shows this "Unsupported Browser" message when clicking on an AutoCAD *.dwg file.
This could be a deal breaker for me if Vivaldi cannot support the AutoCAD Web App.

Vivaldi identifies itself to web sites exactly as Chrome, but in this case there might be some special proprietary features this web app requires. You might need to take this up with the AutoCad people.
Is there some Demo site of this app for testing?

I've posted to the AutoCAD Web App Forum, asking why the Chrome based Vivaldi shows as unsupported, and asking if there are proprietary features AutoCAD Web App is looking for. I will pass along any updates.
BTW: The AutoCAD Web App is only available by way of an AutoCAD subscription. Do developers have an inside track around this subscription? -

It does kinda sucks having to switch to Firefox to run it. I'd use the app version if it worked on Linux with Wine... -
In the UR browser the same problem, not supported. With the Dissenter Browser the page does not even open, because the browser blocks it due to a ton of trackers, third party cookies and the attempt to access the OS specifications.
This to me means that this page is anything but trustworthy.Blacklight say:

I begin to understand why this website does not want Vivaldi or another browser that protects privacy.

No responses either from Vivaldi or AutoDesk. I am totally suprised that they would ignore this issue. AutoCAD Web access represents it supports Chrome brower. Clearly that is over-simplified, and not fully true. -
@bacarson when you say "no response from Vivaldi", please be aware that the forum is mostly a community thing. No bug report -> usually no awareness by the company, except if they are triggered by mods to look at certain issues (in which case they usually ask for a bug report
)If Edge as another Chromium browser also doesn't work, I wouldn't put my hopes up that AutoDesk give any priority to Vivaldi over Microsoft...

I doubt it has anything to do with "smart". More likely, it's a budget/business decision. With a product as complex and nuanced as AutoCAD, maintaining online compatibility requires testing and (perhaps) continual tweaking of the online web interface. That compatibility may readily be impacted by various unique aspects of individual web browser products, so "supported" browsers would need to be each tested to assure their compatibility with AutoCAD online... and such testing/tweaking costs money. Its far easier (and perhaps cheaper) to simply test and support a few 'most-common' browsers and let it go at that. While often such "supported browser" lists bespeak mere laziness on the part of a website development team, in the case of a complex product like AutoCAD, there may be some legitimate cost justification involved.

@blackbird Yeah that's probably true. I was really surprised to learn that AutoCAD even had a web version. It's that kind of program you'd expect would only work properly running as a native app.

Users will never get Web AutoCAD for Vivaldi as Vivaldi is not Google Chrome. Full Stop.
I fear Vivaldi team can not do anything to help.
