Hi I am trying to migrate from Opera (v77) to Vivaldi. But Vivaldi does not list Opera as a source of browsers. image_2021-06-20_194303.png
Maybe because Opera is a Snap? I'm on Kubuntu 20.10.
Bookmarks are easy as Opera can export them to a folder I specify. But I need the passwords and I do not know where they are stored.
Is there a way to transfer Opera passwords that I as a normal user can manage?
      Thanks.

I've now found the way to export Opera passwords as a CSV file. Is there any way to import this into Vivaldi as passwords if there is no direct way?

Hi, it is a bit work but easy.
      Open: chrome://flags
      Search for: PasswordImport
      Enable it.
      Restart Vivaldi.
      Open: chrome://settings
In the password section is a 3 dot menu, there is now a import setting.
      Import your .cvs file.
      Ready.

      Cheers, mib

thanks mib. It worked perfectly exactly as you wrote it.
I wonder why it is experimental or hidden?

The flag is disabled in the Chromium source and Vivaldi does not change these settings. In my opinion they should as all new Vivaldi user come from another browser.
The password import is broken for Chrome too and it is the only way to get them anyway.

      Cheers, mib
