Using Vivaldi Mail in Web Panels Only
-
Hi Vivaldi community!
Just finished linking my various emails to Vivaldi's new mail client. This should do wonders for my productivity!
I figured out how to add the Mail (beta) to my web panel, but when I click on it, I see a list with Unread, Received, Sent etc. but once I click on 'Unread', for example, it opens all unread messages in a new tab, thereby causing me to stop the work I was doing.
Anyone figure out a way to do all mail-related tasks in the web panel only?!
Thanks a bunch,
yq

@yqq8 You want mail completely in a panel, not webpanel. That’s not possible, mail has its own interface with dedicated top bar (address bar substitution), panel for navigation and tabs for viewing. You can still tile a mail tab with an ordinary webpage.
-
@luetage Yeah you are right. That's what I wanted. If I'd have to go the route of tiling the mail tab, is there a way I could permanently tile the mail tab to my ordinary webpage/browser?
That way, when I open the browser, my mail is already there (on top, for example).
And thanks for replying
-
@yqq8 No, that’s not possible. Instead you’d have to use mail in a separate window and tile the windows.

@luetage Dude I appreciate you replying x2. I owe you a random request at anytime. Take the IOU I attached, and store it somewhere safe.
What's unusual is that the new window doesn't have Mail (Beta), Feed (Beta), or Contacts (Beta) in the web panel. Seems they can only be used in one open window. Anyhow, my problem is solved (thanks to you). Have an amazing day!!
-
@yqq8 Why thank you, I’ll make sure to use it wisely. And yes, only one window can have these functions at the moment. It’s not a bug, but it might change in future versions.
-
@luetage I'd expect it to change. Having to open two separate windows to optimize efficiency doesn't seem 'the Vivaldi way'.
While I have your attention.. it seems today is a special day for me. I have another problem that I JUST encountered. If you know how to help me with that, I'll grant you not one, but 2 IOU's for help with this issue. 3 total IOU's for 2 questions WOOP WOOP!
Here's a link to my problem!
