Videos on Android show only a white screen, while sound works correctly

I'm using a Redmi Note 8 Pro with MIUI 12. Recently, on Vivaldi mobile browser all videos started showing a completely white screen instead of the video itself, while the sound and the video player work fine. I've decided to try Vivaldi snapshot (downloaded from Google Play Store) and it solved the issue. But now I've just installed the new update for snapshot and it started to do this weird thing, just like the "normal" version of Vivaldi. Until a few days ago this didn't happen, and until yesterday this didn't happen on snapshot. I think the new updates a breaking the videos, at least on my phone.

Hi, I use MIUI 12, too.
Can you add a link to a video not working, please?
I test vimeo.com and it play video and sound.

I've tried other videos and this happens too.

If I open the video in fullscreen and move the bar to another point in the video, it shows correctly.

I've tried disabling the adblock but it doesn't help.

Hm, both play fine here.
Do you have any settings different to default like address bar at bottom, for example?

@mib2berlin nope. I've also been having the same issue regardless of the tabs being shown on top or not, since I've changed this option recently while having the same issue. I've also tried using Chrome, just to be sure it's not a system wide problem, and there videos work like a charm, no problems at all.

Hi, there was an update a few minutes ago with a fix for your problem, it was a regression. I use the snapshot version, therefor I don´t had this problem

I don't use MIUI 12 but I do use an Amazon Kindle Fire with the Vivaldi APK and have no issues except geolocation from some sites.
Amazon's FireOS is not pure Android so I am thinking there may be similarities(?).

Oh finally! I've actually dealt with this problem for quite some time, glad to see it got fixed. Always thought it was just something weird on my end since I couldn't find anything about this issue.
