Updated via the built in auto updater on macOS -
Dragging one tab out of the stack, then back in again, breaks accordion stacking.Moving the stack to another window fixes it.
OK. I see what is happening, the accordion is just being expanded.

The accordion tabs are probably one of old Opera's features I missed the most. Thanks for bringing them to Vivaldi.
And the fix for VB-80035 is nice, too -
@operafanboy All tabs in a stack appear on the first row, but the left / right arrow icon can be used to expand or collapse the stack.
When an expanded stack is not active, it collapses automatically.

My Mail and Feeds panels disappeared. Calendar reappeared. Mail and Feeds are enabled on Settings.
Edit: There's a related bug with it. Hard to fix I guess, but it's still a bug.

I loooooong change logs
Really curious what the silent updates feature is from a technical perspective. Is it a service, a process running or something launched on user login?
I tried enabling it in one of my Snapshot standalone installs but not noticing anything added to autoruns...

@pesala O.K. I'm testing here, It's useful.
Are you not Opera [presto] fan?
It was a killer Opera 11 feature! The classic tab stacking! -
Finally, accordion tabs stacks. I think this is way better than "Compact" mode, but there's some UI problems with it.
The contrast between the active tab and tabs of some tab stack is very low, specially on the default dark theme
A better design would be something like this
You can clearly see which tab belongs to which group, while it also makes the active tab easier to spot.Another problem I found is the expand/shrink button. It's too thin. Increase its width to somewhere between 25px and 30px.

Accordion style stacks
Loving this. Thanks for the continued hard work. I donated to support.

[New][Tabs] Accordion style stacks (VB-41386)
Opera 11/12 Tab Stacking comeback!
The ability to expand/collapse tab stacks by double click on the tab is missing!
- The expand/collapse button is too small
- When you click on the collapsed stack it automatically expands

Wow, lately I'm strikingthrough a lot of tab stacks requests, keep it going
+1 for double-click collapse/expand like old times, a thing I believe is in the cards already (how couldn't it be).
/edit: Though as I see it auto-collapses if you click/open another tab outside, that's new and great!

Yes, so useful, no hotkey, no click on the tiny button, just a double-click - fast, smart, and very efficient!
