Solved Change spell check language when composing email
-
I have Vivaldi configured to accept a few languages (Portuguese, English and more). I write in Portuguese and English often, according to the website and the audience I'm writing for.
When writing on a text area (such as right now) I can right click and quickly change which language the spell checker is to use:
When composing an email, however, that doesn't seem to be possible. I'd like to have the same feature available then as well.

No, I was definitely replying from an email. As a matter of fact, I just managed to replicate what I was experiencing and it actually is the same as in this window.
I was writing an email in English and spellchecking was set to Portuguese. As a result, most of the words were underlined.
When I right-clicked on a word to bring up the context menu, it was accidentally selecting the whole word and then bringing up the context menu:
As I just found out, the context menu of an underlined selected word if different than the context menu that shows in other situations. If I bring it up with an underlined word selected the Spellchecking option no longer appears...

@pauloaguia No such issue here. I can choose English or French, or both.

@pesala How strange - I'm trying it now and I can do it too...
However, in the previous email I was writing, I couldn't. I did have some Google translate option, but not the usual context menu which has the spellchecking submenu we've both posted on this thread. Damn, I should have taken a snapshot of the other context menuI've tried replying to the same email I was previously replying to and it seems to work now.
Guess I', going to discard this then...

@pauloaguia Were you perhaps using Webmail?

Right. I am glad you worked it out.
