I'm having an issue that pop downs from extensions kept in the address bar aren't clickable in the region of the toolbars with this mod. Is there a way of fixing this? I have a couple of extensions which have buttons in this area which aren't clickable, which makes the extension unusable. (For example adding an account to bitwarden, the add account button is completely inaccessible).

@fergya Sorry. Pls direct your post to https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/491392. This mod is now adopted by nomadic.

Hello everybody ! Thank you very much Dude99 for this great CSS script ! i have added this two lines for remove the trashbin icon and the + icon (new tab) :
.button-toolbar.toggle-trash { display: none !important; }
.toolbar-tabbar .newtab { display: none; }But i have a little problem (in the original script too), i have an incompressible space to the right of the tabs bar (under the red arrow on this screenshot), no news tab appear in this area, how i can resolve that ?
And when i minimize the browser's windows, i dont have the title bar who appear, so... i can't move the browser's windows with the cursor of the mouse... lol

Just FYI, nomadic isn't replying to anything in that thread either... Think we can call your CSS mod dead.

Think we can call your CSS mod dead.
Just like many CSS mod share in this forum, they will eventually become obsolete as the browser continue to evolve.
Please be patience with modder, as we do this kind of "work" for fun & at our own leisure time, & I have made it very clear in the OP this project is an one-off effort for me (just like some other mod I don't use myself). Then nomadic offer to continue this project & so I pass the ball to him.
nomadic isn't replying to anything in that thread either...
It seem nomadic have not been active in this forum for 2 weeks, so maybe something happened to him. In time like this, many people will be hard to keep up with non profit work, especially if they affected by the CCP virus directly... Hopefully he will come back eventually.
Now, I took some time look at your problem & unfortunately it can't be resolved anytime soon. Because currently V team is revamping all the popup dialogs, it's still a work in progress... meaning nothing will be absolute until they are really done with it.
And this project is unfortunately got caught up in the mid-process, it kinda broke the extension popup dialog in recent update, & so we have to wait until v4.1 stable to come up with a proper solution when all changes are settled. (I'm not doing this though...)
I have foreseen changes to the tabbar (they did hinting about new stacking mode) so I try to work around the tabbar leaving it mostly untouched, but then they gradually revamp all the popup dialog into floating elements outside of related/parent element in later updates, which mess up all the
z-index
priorities, & thus lead to your problem. I don't like wasting time on useless stuff, especially if things keep changing & put all my effort to naught... And this CSS mod doesn't even last a month! That's why I don't maintaining mod I don't personally use, if horizontal tabbar mod is really popular, someone else will made a better one in the future. Meanwhile, maybe u guys should try the vertical tabbar, it will be super effective when enhanced with my vertical tabbar CSS mods. LOL

It doesn't matter so far.
Two ways to click.
1, Open extensions from quick command.
2, Check "Expand Hidden Extensions to Drop-Down Menu" and hide button. -
@shifte Oh, it seem they build the new popup dialog with JS + CSS, & they react & behave differently depend on how u summon 'em. As a result there are some inconsistency with these popup dialog... & then got a ton of window size related bugs. LOL
If you are not using my ergonomic bookmark CSS mod, the bookmark dialog can't stay inside small size window properly & can't resize when there are not enough space to display the entire dialog...
So expect a lot more breakage related to popup dialog in future as they fix/changes 'em.

@dude99 Thanks for the reply. Good to know they're still messing with things in that area, so I'll just keep my fingers crossed it moves in a positive direction (or at least one that requires a new tabs below address bar mod that makes someone take another look at it).
I do definitely appreciate your work. Keep doin what you're doin!

Thanks a lot i just updated from 3.8 and it was painful not to have my tabs below address bar, i cant understand why vivaldi do not implement this natively, they already have option to put tabs on the top, bottom and side why not add top below address bar as a single tick on option
