Keeping a Mac working is like maintaining an old car - good analogy!
At least someone thinks of those poor Mac users

Unrelated to the announced fixes, I noticed after the update my desktop icon linking to Vivaldi.exe had no more the added parameter --enable-features=OverlayScrollbar which was needed from some releases ago because the chrome flag was removed. Well, now not only the flag is back but it works again so no more command line parameter is required.

@ruarí Aw, fourth.

only in guestwindow:
if you click at the URL in the addressbar, the clickpoint "jumps" because https is not hidden any longer. so if you want to select vivaldi.net and begin behind net, the cursor jumps to https://vival
it's probably a known bug, but... is it? @Gwen-Dragon @Ayespy -
@ruarí
On Windows, it appears that updating to the latest version adds a new V shortcut to my desktop.Neither asked for, nor wanted! Is this intended behaviour? I'd imagine it might irritate more than a few V users.
Linux appears not to suffer from this bug/feature.
Otherwise, thanks as always for the great work!

@guigirl
Do I need to report a bug, or is this enough for the devs to pick it up? -
@cheekybuddha I can confirm that, it happens since yesterday's snapshot. For me it added one shortcut to the desktop and pinned two (!) to the taskbar in addition to the already existing one. I deleted them but they are back with today's update.

Done! Waiting for bug number, will update when received. -

Again thank you for using Vivaldi.
Haha! That's like saying "Thank you for breathing"!!!
Is there any other choice?

Bug No.: VB-80238
-
@gwen-dragon
Forgive me - no offence intended!
I meant it as in there's no need to thank me for using V since I wouldn't consider using anything else. For me, it's a part of life like breathing.
But something got lost in translation, so apologies.

Just as in the previous snapshot, my hacky offline account (imported from M2, but I had to set a mail address that does not exist) does not show mails any more but continuously displays "Loading selected view..." when clicking the account name.Mails are still present in other views (e.g. received), so it's not a huge issue.
// edit: could be that there really was just some sort of re-indexing ongoing. It now shows all the mails as it's supposed to.

Is Skia Renderer considered stable on macOS? -
I think there should a setting to disable translate button on the Address bar:
like QR code button:
[Linux][Regression] Bookmarks/folders copy, cut & paste doesn’t work (VB-79879)
Thanks for fixing my bug!
Also Speed Dial page not shifting to the top when you open link in the new tab!
It was annoying, thanks for the fix!
UPD: still shifting sometimes

OPML import still is not possible the way described in https://help.vivaldi.com/mail/mail-feeds/import-feeds-from-other-feed-readers/
and without that I can't really check other issues I had before -
The old problem - no focus on Start Page when you first launch Vivaldi.
Bug reported as VB-80259 and VB-80258 (weird glitch on the Bugreport page)

I had a similar experience in my test snapshot a few weeks ago when they changed database system... it spent a couple of hours reindexing - which I didn't realise at first since the mail panel was just not responding. I noticed something flash on the status bar every now and then about message xxxxx of yyyyy so guessed what was going on.
