On to the next one – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2289.3
-
@ruarí don't know if this is changed but open settings by keyboard only opens, doesn't close on toggle. also want to say browser is very fast now -- no lagging AFAIK
-
@code3: Yes, I did. In fact, it won't start up with my existing profile. Downgrading make me loose all my (remote) calendars accounts in Vivaldi. Setting up a new profile (edit: with the current build) fixes the crashes, but several problems persist (edit: with the new profile and newly setup mail/calendar accounts):
- Mail does not show any search results (VB-79684)
- Emails from vivaldi.net account are shown with the trashcan icon (VB-79685)
- I cannot delete certain emails from Junk folder of vivaldi.net account (VB-79686)
- Calendar url to MS Exchange CalDAV gateway does not find any calendars unless /calendar is appended which was not necessary before
PS: ... apparently, editing the comment removed the list of bugs.

It is not new. Ctrl+F4 will close the dialog.

@avx: Agreeing with all of this! The folders not being in alphabetical order is fine; they're in the order I have them within the bookmarks folder, but the option to do that OR alphabetical would also be nice.
-
@stevekong Sorry, did you reply to the wrong person or in the wrong thread?
Never downgrade Vivaldi, it is a bad idea.
-
-
@code3: Nope. I replied to your crash at startup. Maybe I was not clear. I set up a new profile with the current build. The downgrade was only for testing purposes.
-
@cjcr: fixed removing cookies and then accepting 3rdparty.
-
By the way, very THANK YOU for the new MIDDLE CLICK behavior in bookmark bar, works like a charm.
-
Hm, nobody else having that problem?
-
@gwen-dragon Really strange. Do you see the passwords in Settings > Privacy?
What about using a tool like Chromepass?
https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/chromepass.htmlOr looking at the
Login Data
SQLite file in a viewer? -
@gwen-dragon Haha
I can confirm this, yes
-
@stevekong I ended up creating a new profile and no longer have a crash.
There is a bug I cannot add chrome extension URLs as web panels like I used to.
-
@stevekong If you are also on Linux, you could output your bash errors.
-
After update on the version 3.9.2289.3 I see the duplicate of the Speed Dial tab with some sponsored sites. Is it only for me?
-
@stardust There are some new sponsored sites.
-
@pesala I think it's very strange to have 2 identical Speed Dial tabs with the same name. Also user might think that the system/browser was compromised because of the new unexpectedly added sites. So it's very confusing and annoying. I think that all the sponsored sites should be in their special folder, and if the user deletes this folder it wouldn't reappear again.

I'd like to announce a bug involving priority in Quick Commands. Although I arranged Closed Tabs to be more prioritized vs History, when typing a keyword in Quick Commands I always see first History results (I've tried numerous keywords).

Has started crashing on me! On Apple Silicon:
