Is it possible to remove this a little bit annoying thing at the right corner?
I guess I will remove it with uBO soon
I had to disable edit notifications, because there are too many edits...
How to disable the "Add Vivaldi Forum to Home screen" annoying popup on mobile? Other sites do this too: Add $Site_Name to Home screen
We got rid of the sites cookies popups and now this
And no new dark theme...

You mean: Somewhere in settings? Of course not!
Try uBO or
.topic .pagination-block {display: none;}
If you use VF mod or a similar extension.

uBO then...Done! -
@juanvase But a lot of old posts are edited without these words. What I think would reduce the number of notifications & wouldn’t hurt, is that you get these notifications only for posts that you’ve already read.
-
@juanvase Well, I want to be notified about every edit to a read post, although it might result in a lot of unneeded notifications. But I also see how what you say can be better for someone.
PS: it’s people like you who create all the edit notification spam, so actually you should see a lot less notifications than the other people who are watching this thread
-
@juanvase, thank goodness notifications are not announced with the NSFW "Wilhelm Scream" as before in the forum

I personally love this little update. I didn't realize how much a topic finder could improve the forum (and it really helps a lot in finding solutions) and the reply buttons both at the beginning and at the end of each thread.
Let's keep growing!

@jane-n Thanks for those changes.
Maybe a detail for some but I'm not sure about the modification made on the
.timeago
(last update time) being placed on the top right of the post.
Visually, I understand why it has been changed (more aligned with the forum structure - always to be found at the exact same place (not randomly moved based on the length of the username)) but, functionally, for those (like me) who check that information regularly, we now need to look at the right side of the screen to get the information we had instantly before the forum update.Before :
I start to read a post and, immediately :- I know the user
- I know when the message was posted/last edited
Now :
I start to read a post but I have to immediately interrupt the reading by having a look at the right side of the screen (and it's a large one...) to know when the message was posted and then come back to the left side of the screen to read it. -

We've updated the Forum to NodeBB's (forum software provider) latest version 1.17.
Great! Do you think you could share all your server providers as well as your hosting providers in one place? It would be a great way to give credit to the authors, many feature requests under “Vivaldi Services” should actually be feature requests posted to those project’s repos, it would be easier to find information and usage guides, @luetage forum mod could mention that it may work in other NodeBB forums, we could understand the security and privacy of those providers, and many other reasons...

@code3 Thanks for the link.
What am I supposed to do with it?
Is it related to what I posted? (didn't find it directly) -
@ornorm
If you want:- Sign up for GitHub
- Click the link and press the new button
- Enter an issue title (e.g. “Regression: New time position is less intuitive”) and a comment
-
@code3 Ok, thank you.
I'm not sure I want to be part of an additional forum to be honest.
(based on that logic, I should then also go on chromium forum, on Windows forum, on hardware forum, etc. )
And I believe forums (like Vivaldi) using NodeBB also make their own choices (structure, alignments, features, etc.) that aren't necessary NodeBB bugs.
I don't know that but, in any case, I'm a Vivaldi user, not a NodeBB user. -
@ornorm Ok. Unfortunately, your request will probably only be seen by the people who make the forum if you comment there. Maybe there is a setting Vivaldi could do to make the times go back to the original position? Or, I could add your comments there for them if you want.
-
@code3 I see that some issues that have been reported in this same thread have been fixed in the same day (by Vivaldi? by nodeBB? I don't know) so, I just follow that habit (shared by the majority of the users if I'm not mistaken) of commenting in the announcement threads created by the Vivaldi team.
Is it taken into account? Sometimes (it's a bit the culture of Vivaldi to listen to their users as much as possible). Is it important for me if my issues are fixed? Not really. I just try to contribute by raising things I notice and, until now, even if it could be seen as odd for some, I will continue doing so for everything that concerns my relationship with Vivaldi as a whole.
What I raise/notice/see/find annoying/etc. will not necessarily be interesting for the rest of the community so... I just leave it like it is (or mod it if I can).
That's all.So, do what you want if you feel you need to raise anything to NodeBB/Chromium/Linux/Windows/etc. but, for me, it's not worth the effort.

Filtering the Mark as Read based on typed words.
That new feature is fantastic!
Thank you! -

@potmeklecbohdan It is intentional, we can still access edit history on the modifications board.
Yes really confusing since the icons aren't even related to the category but to the sub-category. I couldn't see anywhere (not even in the address (https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/34077/aero-compatibility) that the topic was a Feature Request...

Kinda slow all forum operations on my end, posting, editing, visiting sub-forums or my profile.
