Middle Mouse Autoscroll for Linux
-
Hey,
there has been a lenghty discussion on this topic here a few years ago, but as far as I could see this has not been posted as a feature request yet.
Linux has a different default behaviour for the middle mouse button (aka scroll wheel). While on Windows this button activates a nifty autoscroll to navigate long web pages, on Linux systems the button usually pastes the contents of the clipboard.
There are lots of "hacks", workarounds and even a plugin for chrome to change this, but it would be need if Vivaldi would just offer that as an easy to activate/deactivate option in the settings menu, just like Firefox does. Ideally while preserving the functionality when middle clicking on a hyperlink.
Here ist the link to the previous discussion on this forum.
Best regards,
Topha

@Topha Middle-click scrolling is great for viewing very large images in a browser tab.
