Add custom theme transparent UI
-
There is the option to use the windows wallpaper as the background in Vivaldi. How about making the Vivaldi UI almost completely transparent such that you just always see your background behind it? Obviously this is mostly for for folks that don't have the icon clutter mess on their desktops.
As discussed (among other places) in the animated background thread you can add some animated gif as the background for Vivaldi. Now it's Vivaldi's resources to show that image.
In the Windows store there is the FOSS app Lively Wallpaper which allows to also show video files as background. With a transparent Vivaldi UI you could just let that do the heavy lifting and Vivaldi is see through

I came specifically to ask for the same. It would blend in better with Microsoft's Fluent design language. Being able to use the Windows background is a nice step in the right direction.

Bumping this. It would be so awesome to have this.
I want my UI semi-transparent and my compositor on Linux would do the blur.
Electron apps are able to do this. Edge is able to do this ( and they pushed this feature upstream )So it would be cool if Vivaldi also supports this

@WildEnte I'm not totally sure is good, but is already feasible on windows.

If we don't consider potential performance drawbacks and glitches (especially on windows)
