Increase tabs width.

@adacom It's so simple, I'd do the same if I were you.

Find this: Vivaldi\Application
Drag "Application" folder to "Installhooks.bat" file in "VivaldiHooks-master" folder.
After a while it tells you to press any (this you have to figure out yourself ;)) key. Done.
This way you have to drag it with every new version though. Anyway, easy as pie. -
@kissanviikset The matter has been resolved.
I was trying to install manually, so in case something went wrong, I could undo the changes. I didn't do it manually but I did it with automatic installation by running the installhooks.bat.
Thanks. -
Here's what I don't understand. First of all, using the Manual method, the included browser.html (in the VivaldiHooks-master.zip file) ALREADY HAS THE <script src="jdhooks.js"></script> included and in the correct spot right before <script src="bundle.js"></script>. OR should I be adding that line to the browser.html that was already in the Vivaldi folder from when I installed the browser?
Secondly, when I copy the folder/file structure into the Vivaldi folder (C:_PORTABLE\Vivaldi 6.2.3105.54\Application\6.2.3105.54\resources\vivaldi) and restart vivaldi, I see nothing in the Settings/General section. I'm only wanted to use tab-size.js to make my tabs wider. Thanks. (My standalone (not in Program Files) vivaldi is not yet set as the default browser, if that matters.)
My file structure-
vivaldi
-----browser.html
-----jdhooks.js
-----hooks
--------- jdhooks-startup-settings.js
----------tab-size.jsEDIT: I spent some time trying to understand these instructions and just I read in another thread that VHooks no longer works??
Is that true?
-
@seeley that's true. Vhooks only had one maintainer and used js and react features which are different by js mods you may find here. Modifying tabs, in any case, was always a difficult task.

OK. Thank you.
I've seen a lot of .css scripts over the years in attempts to make the tabs wider, but all of them have failed to some degree. The closest one I've seen (link below) worked but the overflow was messed up.... ie. the tabs never got smaller when out of space and crashed into the min/max and close buttons.
