Both FastStone Viewer and IrfanView are free for home users, but not for commercial use.

Maybe you should try PicPick? It's free for non-commercial use, it has screen recorder, it uses cloud storage for screenshots and much more...

A long time ago, I reported a bug that sound playing on the speakers was not recorded. This useful feature is now available in version 10.0, along with other improvements.

A lifetime licence is still only $29.95, which I reckon is good value, considering the feature set and ease of use.

This feature allows you to pin and annotate screen shots on top of other windows, like sticky notes. Benefits include:

Added “Capture Text.”
