OneTab Extension is not fully functional
-
Hi! I recently started using Vivaldi, and I'm a long-time fan of OneTab extension for Chrome. Naturally, this was the first extension I installed.
It mostly works, but not fully. Namely:
-
One of the most important functions, โDisplay OneTab,โ works from the context menu, but doesn't work with hotkeys.
This works:
This doesn't work, regardless of what hotkey I use:
Other OneTab shortcuts (Activate the extension and Send the current tab) work! -
OneTab icon is not displayed on its browser tab:
Works in Chrome:

@dsent I installed the extension and can confirm the icon isn't displayed in OneTab-Tab.
Where have you set the hotkey Ctrl + Shift + 1 ?
Your screenshot looks like part of extension - options, but I can't find hotkey-settings there. -
- Go to `vivaldi://extensions
- Open the menu by clicking on the icon with three horizontal lines in the top left
- Click "Keyboard shortcuts"
-
@dsent Some extension shortcuts don't work unless you change them from "In Vivaldi" to "Global". I believe this is a bug in Vivaldi.
(Note: "Global" means that the shortcut will trigger even if Vivaldi is not the focused application, so be careful when using that option.)

There is an extension which is based on OneTab but adds more functions:

@stardepp I know about this extension, but it seems not maintained, so I'd prefer to use the original.
-
@Komposten yes, setting the shortcut to Global works, but it's not what I need. I use this extension in four different browsers, and I'd like to have the same shortcut in all of them. Until this bug is fixed, I'll just use the extension context menu as a workaround; better than having a separate global shortcut.
