Branch point – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2165.3

Vivaldi still freezing when monitor goes to sleep if Vivaldi is the active window. Is this not logged as a bug yet?
-
@guigirl: NOW someone tells me.
Upvote me if you agree.

Does anybody use search bar with search suggestions enabled here? When I enter some text and walk through suggestions with arrows, if I press "home" button, it throws the cursor to the top of the suggestions list instead of just moving it to the beginning of the current line. Is that assumed to happen?
-
@newscpq Here you can see how it looks when the status bar is placed above the address bar.
-
After I booted my PC and started the browser I received 2 notifications of "was deposited in your wallet" or something, from Vivaldi. They just went away really fast and sadly I can't remember what was exactly written. Very interesting.
Anyone knowing what's up with this? -

sounds like you visited some malicious sites without protections activated and you got some scam message about bitcoins or some other sort of scam.
-
@iAN-CooG is there any way to see a notification log so I can trace this further? The malware stuff is quite unlikely, I use a VMware virtual machine for all the stuff I'm suspicious off and have installed Kaspersky Total Security on the PC which never let me down in more than a decade of various Kaspersky product use.
Would be very helpful if I could visit some sort of notification list. -
@t0yz Not a notification list, but have a look at
chrome://settings/content/notifications

@guigirl: I can concur, the existing profile I can see and assign to shortcut for Pin tab , but if I create other profiles this option is missing.
Also missing from other new profiles seems to be mail and calendar options. -
I've encountered an issue with 2 level tab stacks (tabs set to horizontal, vertical tabs does not have this problem) and Show Popup Thumbnails set. I wonder if this is a known issue or not.
Have two sets of tab stacks (must be tab stacks not a just a single tab) with a regular tab between them. Click one tab stack so that it is active and its 2nd row is displayed. Now move the mouse and hover over the 2nd tab stack. That tab stack's list of popup thumbnails are then shown. Now move the mouse down over the popup thumbnails to select a tab.
About a 50% chance that the popup thumbnail list disappears. Doing it repeatedly, hovering the mouse over the tab stack tab and it's popup thumbnail list may or may not work. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.. It makes using 2nd level tab stacks and popup thumbnails seemingly incompatible.
Using Vivaldi on Windows 10, issue occurs on both my laptop and my desktop. It's driving me bonkers

Oh yeah forgot about that. Mystery now solved, I went through the list and remembered the icon from the previous notifications. Must be some sort of crypto related reward for watching a stream on trovo, some twitch clone.
Thanks!

Still freezes up immediately on load with the AdBlock 4.27 extension

The M3 experiment is enabled per profile, that’s why you don’t see it there.
-
@ruarí: very good choice I think. Take your time making it rock - everyone who really wants it now can use it in the TP. What's not to like?
-
Welp, no more monocycling for Ruari.
-
This version is unusable for me (Ubuntu 20.04 LTS). When I start Vivaldi, the UI completely freezes up. Incognito mode works OK. I tried disabling all extensions (I had to revert to 3.5.2115.87 to do this as the UI in 3.6.2165.3 wouldn't respond) but it didn't help.
-
Focus on the 1st dial is not working on the 1st Vivaldi start.
on the1st Vivaldi start I see:
instead of:
Vivaldi 3.6.2165.3 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Settings, Tabs, Tab Display:
New Tab from Link Opens in BackgroundThis options seems to have disappeared from the latest Snapshot. Is the feature being redesigned? It needs a different approach in my opinion.
-
@Pesala It’s still available
-
@potmeklecbohdan It seems to have been moved to a different group.
