Reorder bookmarks?
-
Hi,
I tried to manually reorder my stored bookmarks in the bookmark panel.
In the help section, I am told to do a long press on the bookmark until a checkmark appears. So far, so good...
Then I am told that I will have to drag & drop the bookmark by usage of the Hamburger symbol (3 horizontal lines) to its new position.
But there is no such symbol. Only thing that I can do, is to edit the bookmark, move it to another folder, or delete it.
How can manual reordering be done?
Thanks for helping or fixing this!Vivaldi Version 3.5.2115.80

@deb10042 Bookmarks can only be moved if the Sort order is set to Manually.
Bookmarks Panel, Bookmark Bar, and Bookmark Tab each have their own independent sort order.

@Pesala Thanks for the hint, but that's clear to me, so far! I have set the sorting order to "manually". Anyway, reordering doesn't work for me, as I can neither move the bookmarks by tapping, holding and drawing them, nor by usage of a reordering symbol ("Hamburger"), because there is no such symbol.
I have to underline again, I have been talking about the mobile version of Vivaldi, used on a Samsung Galaxy S7+ Tab and/or on a Huawei Smartphone P30 Pro. On both devices, I am not able to manually reorder my bookmarks. -
@deb10042 Your thread is in the Desktop forum. I will ask a moderator to move it.

Fwiw, I had to create a temporary folder, move some bookmarks there, & then move them back in the order I wanted.

Thanks for your infos and linked threads!
I'm glad to hear that the bug is has already been filed (VAB-2978) and hope, it will soon be fixed. -
@deb10042 Do you have accessibility services enabled in Android settings. Apparently, drag and drop is disabled in that case.
-
Yes, I do have two different service entries set to active in the accessibility settings.
But switching these two services to off will lead to a deactivation of intentionally installed features. That's not a good solution.
I hope, there will be a fix for this bug, soon. -
Manual reordering is, unfortunately, not possible with Android’s accessibility settings enabled.
