Middle mouse button issues
-
Hi everyone,
When clicking with the middle mouse button on a web pannel button or on a rapid selection shortcut it opens two identical tabs, I don't remember when it started but I'm sure that when first installed Vivaldi this issue was absent.
The problem do not persists when I click the middle mouse button on a link in a webpage.
Are any of you having the same issue? Any ideas?
I'm using:
Vivaldi 3.5.2115.81 (Stable channel) (a 64 bit)
Revision 002de1f8aa3173b79493ce72f9bf13454e94751d
Sistema operativo Windows 10 OS Version 2009 (Build 19042.685)
JavaScript V8 8.7.220.29Thanks in advance

@leonardomaria Doesn't do it here. Caused by an extension, perhaps?

@leonardomaria I have had this happen to me recently. Opening a tab (or group of tabs) using middle click results in duplicate tabs being opened. But I doubt this is a problem with Vivaldi.
I haven't really tested on any other programs myself, but when things like this happen, the first suspect should be a failing mouse button. As mouse buttons start to physically fail, they often register multiple clicks when the user presses the mouse button once. So this is likely a hardware issue.
Try with a different mouse and see if you still have the same issue.

@leonardomaria , I had a similar problem in the past. The cause was the mouse, it had a worn switch that bounced, causing multiple clicks, despite pressing it only once. Changing the mouse solved the problem.
As a temporary remedy you can change the double click time in the mouse settings, sometimes it works. -
@ugly @Catweazle, Thanks a lot...it was the mouse...i was loosing my mind trying to solve this! I'll try slowing the click time!
