Android browser shows no bookmark thumbnails
-
In the quick dial and other bookmarks in the android version, I see no thumbnails. A colored block with the name of the site is shown instead.
I'm just using Vivaldi for a few days, but I recall it did show thumbnails before (not sure). The synced desktop version does show them, but I understand those are not linked with the mobile version.
Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Hi, you can now choose 3 different speed dial views.
List, small dials and big dials.
You are on big ones, go to settings > speed dials to change to small.Welcome to Vivaldi, mib

I know of the 3 speed dial views. The small grid view shows favicons of the sites, the large just a colored block with white text. The most common example of android bookmarks in Vivaldi looks different:
Or is this not possible in the current version? -
@syrahkat
Ah OK, I use the snapshot version and it looks different to your images.
Where do you got this images?

@mib2berlin No, the last picture with the 3 types of speed dials is not mine, but an example from the official site. I thought the big grid dial should look like that, but that only seems to be the case for the preset bookmarks like booking.com etc. All the bookmarks I add myself get a colored block with white text as picture.
On the desktop version it should be possible to add custom thumbnails, but on Android I'm afraid there's not much to change.

Yes, I would like to add custom speed dials to the Android version, too.
As the developers try to catch up to the desktop version feature wise I guess we have to wait a bit.Cheers, mib
