Accounts stop working after (or during) first mailbox collection. macOS
-
Whilst setting up my account(s), after I finally hit the correct combination of account names, usernames, ports (including the ports that I thought were set to the defaults but were actually empty - although showing a green tick) and passwords I found that the mailbox would be opened, mail would start to download from the server then after a number of messages were downloaded the collection would stop and a message would be displayed showing a "Login" error, with an exclamation mark on the affected account(s).
If I went back into the settings for the account I had a note showing something like "SMTP" error. If I entered the password(s) again, collection would begin again before failing shortly afterwards with another "Login" error.
On the second (or third) shut down and restart of Vivaldi, a message popped up from macOS asking me to verify that I wanted to give access to my keychain (password storage) to Vivaldi. I had previously answered "Yes" to this request, but this time I saw an option to "Always grant access". After I gave permission to always allow access the email has been working superbly.
Thought I'd pass the tip on.

Thanks for passing this on. I ran into the same issue until I enable "Always allow" as well.
