URL sharing via QR code and an update to Chromium 87 – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2110.3

A fresh coat of Chromium -
At last, a new snapshot!
So far, the new tab stacks are great, only problem I've encountered is internal pages don't show the correct favicons.
EDIT: Submitted as VB-74391, also while reorganizing the tab stack, I realized that the window panel doesn't show the favicons for a few of these internal pages either (submitted as VB-74392).

New problem with the tab handling. The tab cycler does not work, i.e. does not show all the open tabs!
Update: wheel changing tabs does not work. Can anybody confirm? -
@nutcracker works here, I have 3 tab stacks for a total of 11 tabs and then 2 single tabs, all show with both ctrl-tab or rightclick+scrollweel in the cycler.
-
@cheekybuddha no problems, please feel free to post anything

if he's on Windows
I'm on Ubuntu

@ian-coog: Thanks for the response but unfortunately nothing at all works for me. Tab changing via mouse gestures is impossible and tab cycler is broken. In fact with this release I have to click on the individual tabs to change pages. Since everything is OK with you, I'll have to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

@nutcracker Tab switching by Ctrl-Tab, wheel, and single-key shortcuts working here.
-
@nutcracker Another data-point for you, fwiw: all the issues you listed continue to work fine for me.
Could it be some extension-caused weirdness?

If anyone wants the new tab stack design but without thumbnails, you can use the following mod:
I am curious how it looks like, could you post a screenshot?
Something like this?BTW this "stack popup" is only available when Show Popup Thumbnails is enabled. I don't like it and I have it disabled.

Stacking is heavily better now. Close tab via middle click (or what set in tabs) would be perfect ^^
+1
Also when Close Button is disabled, it shouldn't be there.
I wonder how many users use Lazy Load Restored Tabs feature. Its enabled by default.
-
Reopened tabs don't show the address in the address bar.
-
I can't find a setting to disable search in the Speed Dial
(It is a fresh installation)
Should it be in the Start Page category? -
-
The new tab stacking is perfect for someone like me with several 100 open tabs. Thanks a lot.
I also like the feature for sharing links with a QR code. -
@Steffie thanks! It happens every time! It definitely should be in the Start Page category imo.

Well, i've given the new version a few browsing-hours now, & i do quite like the tweaks to the display of our tab-stacks. Nonetheless, i continue to hope this is nought but another little pitstop enroute to eventually achieving a full multi-nesting tree-style-tabs functionality.

@Gwen-Dragon
This bug is if you have enabled "Lazy Load Restored Tabs" and "Page Load Progress" set to "Favicon Progress" or "Favicon Spinner", while is set to "Progress Bar" favicons is ok. -
-
@Ornorm Oooh wow, that's very pretty indeed. If you give me your bank account info i can EFT you to buy one of them for me... please?

I was wondering what all the others have been talking about, since I could not see a difference on my stacks or in the changelog.
It's actuslly quite a nice change, so I'll keep it active for now, until there is a mode without thumbnails for the two of us But especially for touch devices, where other parts of the changelog seem to be going, I think that expanding tab stacks (or a reworked windows panel) may still be more useful.
