Control + click (right-click) not working on Mac since 3.4 update

Re: Control+Click (Right-Click) does not follow macOS guidelines on websites
Since updating to vivaldi stable 3.4 on my 2017 Macbook Pro (OSX 10.15.7) the other day, control+click does not work as expected. I was trying to click on a speed dial tile to get view options and 'refresh tile image' etc. when I realised that under 3.4 vivaldi ignores the "control" and therefor treats the click as a standard left-click. Furthermore, in other Vivaldi interface menus (other than speed dial), control+click doesn't work for me. This is quite frustrating.
Hope a fix can be implemented soon?
Kindest regards!

Right-click works for me. I just updated Vivaldi and tested the right-click. Control-click does not work. It behaves like left-click. Cmd-click works as expected.

I realised my post was unclear. I am on a Macbook Pro using only the built-in trackpad, and no alternative pointing devices (mouse etc).

I have also upgraded Vivaldi from 3.3 to 3.4 on my wife's Macbook Air, and I have the exact same issue. I hope that this can be rectified very soon! (p.s. I love Vivaldi, and now my wife uses it as her main research browser for university since the split pane view option is very useful to take notes and participate in webinars/video conferences simultaniously!!)

FYI, there is an open bug for this: VB-72136
Looks Control-click with a Trackpad is only broken in Vivaldi on some Mac models. Apparently Control-click works with an external mouse, and you can work around this by enabling a different Secondary click method in Trackpad options.

@xyzzy I found this "strange behaviour" on my MacBook Pro too.
My batteries on the external mouse went down and working now with the trackpad and the ctrl, opt, cmd keys to get this commands has the described effect too. I assume that in this case it has nothing to do with the update of Vivaldi two days ago.
But anyway it is frustrating to have just one application that works like this. But fortunately there are many browsers available now.
How long is this bug known and will there be a fix in the near future? -
@uhebeisen Hi, and welcome to the Community!
This is a recent bug, and it didn't get caught in testing since it only affects some Macs, and also would not have been noticed by users who use a two-finger tap for secondary click. We never get time estimates for any fix, but the QA team did add this bug to list of fixes that they would like to see included in a mid-cycle Vivaldi 3.4 update, so they clearly want (and hope) to get this fixed as soon as possible.

I have also been experiencing this problem (along with various others) since 3.4 Any word on when this bug will be addressed as it has kinda broken my experience w/ Vivaldi.
