Your Internet access is blocked
-
Vivaldi and Edge are having this. Chrome and Firefox are not. I called ISP but were brushed off as usual with no help. Exe of neither can be whitelisted to any affect and neither will even update. Any suggestions?

@DukeofURL What is doing the blocking?

Hi, we need a bit more information:
Windows and Vivaldi version, is Edge Chromium based or the "Old" one.
Do you use third party virus scanner software, if yes disable it for a test.
Testing Vivaldi Snapshot Vivaldi 3.2.1964.3 / Chrome 84.0.4147.62 and Edge Version 83.0.478.61 (Offizielles Build) (64-Bit) on Windows 10 2004 at moment without problems.Cheers, mib

What was the sequence of things you were doing just prior-to and at the moment you first encountered the problem? (ie, was there a Windows update/upgrade just before the problem appeared, did you just start a new session with Vivaldi, did you visit a particular website that suddenly triggered the message, had you just rebooted the system, etc?).
-
Have you tried rebooting the system since the problem appeared to see if the problem clears?
-
What antivirus software/tools are you running?
FWIW, you are running a pre-chromium version of Edge.

@Ayespy Came here to ask.

@DukeofURL We can't know. Vivaldi doesn't do this. Your system is doing it. We would like to try to help you figure out why. I was hoping the "your internet access is blocked" message would be contained in a window or tooltip that told you who/what was generating the message. It is not Vivaldi doing it - and I have never seen a "Your Internet access is blocked" message in Vivaldi. The message native to Vivaldi says something like, "Page is not available. Could not locate host. Are you connected to the internet?"
or
"No internet
Try:
Checking the network cables, modem, and router
Reconnecting to Wi-Fi
Running Windows Network Diagnostics
ERR_INTERNET_DISCONNECTED" -
