Speed dial youtube videos thumbnails
-
Hello guys i cant find any solution for this maybe you guys can help me or others:
When i add youtube videos/playlists to my old browser(Opera) they had their own thumbnails which created by video owner. Otherwise when i try to add videos to vivaldi browser's speed dials they much worst and they became broken thumbnails like just default uncomplete loading page or black screen.
Is there any solution for this?

Hi, the only solution is to add the thumbnails yourself.

@vaus Take a screen shot of any part of the video and save it in your Vivaldi folder. Select it to use as a custom thumbnail. YouTube videos have a wider aspect ratio than Speed Dial thumbnails. The ideal size is 440x360 pixels.

@Pesala Thanks it works. But it will be nice if Vivaldi support that automatically next time. And it can work with only video search page because video thumbnails exist there. so everytime when i like the videos and want to add some new videos to my speed dials i must turn again to search page and take video capture. its pretty struggle.

@vaus If I add a YT video to the dial in Opera I just get the generic icon, not even the title of the video:
Maybe what you had in Opera was a custom extension that added the correct thumbnail for a video?
-
@Pathduck i never used any extension on opera. you can switch and choose generic icon when add any web page or youtube videos to your speed dial. click heart button on address bar. than simply switch generic icon with arrow symbols.

@vaus Oh right. I guess I rarely add bookmarks that way. It looks like Opera uses the

meta tag to get this list of images, which has been suggested before in feature requests. Please vote for these:
