Where is the css file mac?
-
Hi! I'm trying to find the CSS file to Mod in macOS 10.11.6.
This is for V 3.1.1929.45.
I've searched and answers are from 2017-2019.
Those gave, From About Vivaldi Executable Path /Applications/Vivaldi.app/Contents/MacOS/Vivaldi
And / or
Profile Path /Users/myname/Library/Application Support/Vivaldi/DefaultI found CSS for centering bookmars in bookmarkbar. And centering the address bar. (in older V versions before 3.1) would it be the same?
Thank you,

@tonyd1 If you just want CSS, you should load it native. Read https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/10549/modding-vivaldi?page=1 carefullly. You have to enable the experiment and create and load the CSS file.

@luetage Thank you for your forum link. It is one that I read before posting my question.
As it was from 2016 I considered it may not completely apply.
But I see the adding style Applies. it is concise and mostly clear to meI did find the Path for macOS. V# 3.1.1929.45.
Applications/Vivaldi.app/Contents/Frameworks/Vivaldi Framework. framework/Versions/3.1.19229.45/Resources/vivaldi/browser.html
(I did back .browser.html twice just so I have an extra)
I followed Your Adding Style Vivaldi 2.6 and above
Every thing was clear up to choose folder to useI have the following observations / questions,
-The file , browser.html is a blank file with the V logo. the same large logo I see when launching V and waiting for it load. Copy and use that it?- "choose the folder you want to use."
A folder within the Vivaldi Path? That I create? Or outside?
Sorry For not understand correctlly
If I am unclear please correct me.
Thank you
(Off topic: your extensioncontrol I found on Github is Great!)
- "choose the folder you want to use."

@tonyd1 As said, if you just want to do CSS modifications, you shouldn’t change anything in the application at all. Instead visit
vivaldi://experiments/
and enable “Allow for using CSS modifications”. Close Vivaldi, create a file calledcustom.css
with a text editor, open Vivaldi and visitvivaldi://settings/appearance/
. Under “Custom UI modifications” select the folder you saved custom.css to earlier. This shouldn’t be inside the application, but somewhere in your home folder. If you see browser.html as a blank file, I’m afraid you aren’t using a real text editor. Make sure not to use Microsoft Word or similar, if you’re on Windows the preinstalled text editor should be Notepad. When in doubt, make a web search.
