Vivaldi updates its browser on Android devices
-
The latest version of Vivaldi on Android polishes the browser’s rich feature set that includes real tabs, integrated Ad and Tracker blocker, built-in Notes, customizable Speed Dials, and much more.

Cool. Thanks for the update!
The dark mode for websites is really interesting. It would be nice if you could activate/deactivate it via the menu (maybe in the tracker icon?).
e.g.
- Darkmode in general (on/off)
- Darkmode for this page (on/off)

Hey! Great update. Thanks for the dark mode again. Let's make it even better now
-
@Third You! How did you know you’ll be 3rd in this thread?
-
Dark Mode for webpages is very nice feature, thanks! Scheduled on/off will make it perfect.
-
Great, installed and shared
-
Wonderful update - ever since the addition of the tracking blocker it's my default browser on my android phone. Really great work!
And I agreee to add the "dark website" feature to the desktop version of Vivaldi as well.
The only customization I'm missing is to move the address bar to the bottom so it's more easy to reach it with my thumb. Not sure how feasible that is though.

@potmeklecbohdan: I am sure that this is pure coincidence and nothing more!
-
Still doesn't work with LastPass, so I have to stick with Firefox Preview as my main Android browser for now.
-
As last time, I'd ask you to also publish an update to Snapshot with the release build. Please?
-
@mscha: you might consider Bitwarden
-
@Syberiyxx , of course the best option
LastPass - proprietary soft
Bitwarden - OpenSource, and can import data from LastPass

I am very enthusiastic about the new Android Vivaldi
High praise to the whole Vivaldi team
I like to think back to the day when I discovered Vivaldi for me, that was on 24. September 2018, I learned about Vivaldi through the German Tech Website Golem.de. Since then I have experienced great new features for Vivaldi again and again. Vivaldi...if you browse more than you sleep

I have the flag "Force Dark Mode for Web Contents" enable on mobile.
I have to disable it with the new feature "Dark web pages"?
-
The Dark mode update is in my opinion broken. Prior to this release you could go to Vivaldi://flags and enable the flag called "Darken websites checkbox in themes setting".
The implementation here tied the dark mode for web pages to the Vivaldi UI Theme which of course could be tied to the device system theme. this meant that if you had a Dark/Light schedule or manually toggled your devices theme from your quick settings the web pages would adjust based on this.
Now instead in order to switch we have to dig through the setting and manually toggle it, either it should be implemented the way the flag was set or the dark mode toggle should be made available in the standard Vivaldi drop down menu.

Beautiful update

Getting better and better! Thanks a lot for this release, guys!

if only search engines would get sync... still my wish for every occasion
-
@varsha Yes, great update. Updated APK already available on your site for my Kindle Fire.
-
@Syberiyxx Yes!
Bitwaren works very well with Vivaldi.
I was an old user of LastPass, and for quite some time now it didn't work well with the different android browsers i've used
