configurable menus
@Pesala must be pleasedThanks for continuous SpatNav improvements!
-
Top tip for menus: You can rename them to change the accelerator key (
&A
means that item will activate when you press A), and you can add emoji (press⊞+.
on windows 10) which can draw attention to frequently used items.

@LonM
⊞
is your friend -
more accurately there is a bug.
if you make the menu horizontal, delete all these “menus” and click on the icon, then the browser restarts and there is no more this setting. -

oi. I can see I am a victim of some kind of smear campaign against the slanted wavy windows logo.
You can take my Unicode but you'll never take my PNGs.

I can't seem to be able to edit the bookmarks menu entries; trying to add/remove anything from there is not possible. The only thing I can do is rename the two entries that are present, or changing "Add active tab" from an expanded list to a folder, which makes no sense. All the other menus appear to be fine.
-
I installed the update, but can't figure out how to open the full page notes.
-
@AltCode The bookmark folder is a special one because it auto-fills all of your bookmark entries. Perhaps that isn't made clear enough in the UI how it works.
-
I think you forgot to remove one item—File/Import calendar
Edit: and some not-yet-public panels too…
Edit 2: and Tools/Show calendar -
@Sillvva "Notes" was added to the Navigation Bar so from there you can edit them, or by double-clicking on a note in the Panel.
-
@gwen-dragon:
- did you make it horizontal?
- deleted all the menus (window, tab, file, etc.)?
- since only the icon remains empty, when you click it 2 times, the browser will close after you open it and there are no innovations in the settings.
-
@LonM Well the Window menu also autofills with the amount of open tabs and pinned tabs, but I can edit that one just fine. I might as well add that removing some of this entries can be lost unless you reset all the menus, which is not ideal.
-
@jumpsq Partially though as context menu edit is the more important one
-
EDIT: With the ability to rename menus, I hope we also get to define our own menus as well. There is currently 8 menus, I'm sure many would like to have more than that with many other commands.
EDIT 2: Well well well...
-
@altcode: But how did you change the menu icon on the Apple?
-
@nikkell
With the power of firstSettings - Appearance - Menu and then rename everything to your hearts content
-
@npro Yeah. I thought it was about context menu on first glance. But I guess that the same mechanism should be applicable for context menu in a upcoming version.
