Can't access Google
-
Howdy, I've been using Vivaldi for a few years and today I've encountered an issue that I've never had before. I cannot access any Google service whose root domain is google.com. When I try the page just starts loading and stays stuck on 0% forever. I can access YouTube, and I'm even still signed into my channel, but when I click on my avatar to adjust my settings or switch to a different channel I own, the menu just shows a loading screen forever. Anyone got any idea what's up? Other browsers including Iridium work fine. My settings are strict, I have almost all third-party services disabled, am blocking third party cookies, and using the ad and tracking blocker on it's strictest setting. Anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

Thanks for answering. Since the page won't even load, the lock in the address bar never appears, just sits and hangs forever, it doesn't even time out if I wait several hours, it just sits there, loading but never making any progress. FOREVER.
My blocking settings are on the highest possible settings for all domains, minus a couple that were completely broken when I blocked ads on them. I also have uBlock Origin installed for handling ads in cases like this as it doesn't seem to break many sites.
I was able to get the cookies dialog to appear once by clicking on the
icon that appears where the lock would be, it said nothing was blocked, but when I tried to open it again to take a screenshot, it did nothing.
I'm quite certain this doesn't make any difference, but just in case it does, my operating system is Arch Linux. My packages are up-to-date but I haven't rebooted in a couple weeks so my in-memory kernel is a bit old. Unfortunately I cannot reboot right now because I have important work in RAM that I don't presently have time to sort through.
I'll try clearing my cookies for (*.)google.com and report back after I've finished another important task that I have right now. Thanks again for the tips.

I got this figured out, it turns out I had Google Docs open in a background window and it had crashed. It was displaying an error in a JavaScript popup and when I dismissed that all Google sites started working. That's so dumb.
