Re: Not working properly with Blogger engine
I am having the same issue, I see that this old topic never got a reply, I hope there is a solution, thiss is what I get when I try to upload an image to my blog

the issue here is that it shouldn't be connecting to that when I am trying to upload something from my PC
Like I said Blogger is owned by Google so I guess it uses storage from your G account for image upload.
I just tested with creating a blog on Blogger and upload of images worked, in a clean profile of Vivaldi Stable. I tested with both the "Classic" and new UI.
Does the error occur when actually uploading the image or when you click "Insert Image"?
I definitely think third-party cookies are involved somehow.
- Click the site info padlock (in address bar), click Cookies, then look in the Blocked tab. Are there any entries there?
-
btw: the behavior is the same in Windows 10, Manjaro and Android
-
@TalGarik I don't have Blogger to test, but the error message seems clear enough - the
docs.google.com
server wouldn't connect.I guess since Blogger is owned by Google, it uses Docs for image storage. Are you able to connect directly to docs.google.com?
Try in a Guest Profile to exclude any settings or extensions.
Check if you're blocking third-party cookies.You don't post your Vivaldi version, so make sure you're updated.

@Pathduck Vivaldi Stable, up to date of course.
I can connect to docs.google.com - the issue here is that it shouldn't be connecting to that when I am trying to upload something from my PC, am I wrong?
I have tried everything you said and more before posting to no avail alas.
the fact that it happens on 3 platforms makes me think this has nothing to do with my settings, but I could be wrong, I just hope someone can help me solve it, I have practically completed my switch to Vivaldi and I would like to make all my main browsing activity with it. -

@Pathduck bravo! thank you
the google.com cookie was blocked, now it works
but I wonder: my privacy settings in Firefox are way stricter than this (dedicated container included) and it works fine. -
@TalGarik Glad it's working
Make sure to double-check your cookie settings under Privacy > Cookies. Blocking third-party cookies is fine (I do as well) but it will break sites, so you need to be able to fix things when it does. Usually this is done by creating exceptions for domains you will accept 3rd party cookies from. If you're using Google's services, you generally have no choice but to accept them from
google.com
for single sign-on to work.I don't know how Firefox containers work, but I assume they don't block 3rd party cookies as default, simply because it would simply stop too many sites from working.
