Weird Javascript bug?
-
I am getting a message from many websites now: A popup box saying 'JavaScript from "www. [..websitename..] .com" Play the specified video in Chromecast?' and then there are two buttons to press 'OK' or 'cancel'. This is happening with a lot of webpages even when there is no video content.
I have tried disablling Java scripted content in the site settings (clicking the padlock icon next to the address field) , but that doesn't help at all.
Is there another way to fix this, or is it a bug in Vivaldi? I do not want to have to check "cancel" every time I visit my bank's webpage! -
@annmagnuson Hi,
- Can you provide a URL where you see this happens
- Do you use any extensions?
-
@LonM Hi! Thank you for asking about extensions. I have an extension called PlayTo for Chromecast. When I inactivate it I don't get any popup boxes anymore. Sorry, should have known better!
Edit: The websites I was having this issue with was https://www.santanderconsumer.se , and
https://www.sas.se
amongst others (that I don't remember at the moment)Thanks for helping!

@annmagnuson yes, I don't get any such popup with those sites. It might be worth filing a bug report to whoever develops the extension.
