No audio anymore. What did I do?
-
At some point I stopped getting any audio in Vivaldi on my phone. It used to work many, many months back back in beta, but it's still broken in v3. Any video embedded on a webpage (e.g., YouTube within Vivaldi) will play as if muted even though the player and system volume is turned up, but I get sound if I open the same video inside a dedicated app. I've looked through the Vivaldi settings and found nothing related to audio. Suggestions, anyone?
I don't think it's an Android problem since all my other apps are fine. Vivaldi on my tablet is fine too, it's just my Pixel 3a that's silent.

Take a look in Settings>Site Settings>Sound, and take a look if it's allowed there. That's the global setting to allow sound in Vivaldi for Android.
I'm also running it on a Pixel 3a and sound is fine for me with that setting enabled.

As previously, check Site Settings. That's all I can think of... unless there is some other setting(?)
I am having no issues with the APK file loaded onto my Kindle Fire.

Thank you both, that was indeed the problem. It never occurred to me to look there since it wasn't a site-specific problem.
