Further popout video fixes – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1874.5
-
@kened: Please state the site you use it on where it doesn't work.
-
@ruarí: I was post 42
-
@olli Do not use the number that explains everything.
-
@kahukura: It is the best number anyones ever heard about
-
Please stop posting off-topic nonsense about who posted first in the Snapshot threads. People should use them to report regressions or other significant bugs so that they can be ironed out before the next Stable release.
Talking of which, I just noticed that Alt+F no longer displays the File menu. I can no longer exit quickly to restart after installing the latest update because Alt+F, X no longer works. I must now press Alt, then F, then X.
(VB-65816) Alt+F No Longer Displays the File Menu
This bug is also a significant regression that should be fixed before the final release.
(VB-65133) Table Markdown is Broken
This is how it used to look:
This is how it looks now:

@Pesala I agree but please allow some chit chat at the beginning of a new snapshot. That is somewhat kind of tradition.
-
@kahukura You disabled Chat.

https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/45324/small-improvements-to-the-clock-and-popout-video-vivaldi-browser-snapshot-1867-3 was locked, so posting here.
Just an FYI:
Windows 10 OS Version 1909 (Build 18363.778).
Vivaldi 2.12.1867.3 64-bit.
Installation Type: Install for All Users.I got this error dialog when trying to start Vivaldi 2.12.1867.3 64-bit (directly with "%ProgramFiles%\Vivaldi\Application\vivaldi.exe" too) to update to this snapshot:
Missing File Error Unable to find locale data files. Please reinstall.
They were there under "%ProgramFiles%\Vivaldi\Application\2.12.1867.3\Locales" and Vivaldi.exe's version showed as 2.12.1867.3.
Deleting "%LocalAppData%\Vivaldi" didn't help.
Uninstalled Vivaldi via Apps & Features in Windows. Got the error dialog there too, but Vivaldi still uninstalled properly. "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Vivaldi" was left over, so I deleted it for good measure.
Installed this build (3.0.1874.5) and all is good. Must have been something corrupted with Vivaldi's program files.

More snapshots, perfect. I can't see PiP button on periscope, either on live video or finished streams.
-
@pesala: Nop
-
@olli You also disabled chat. If you want to chat, my chat is not disabled.
Please respond to the bugs and regressions that have been reported, which is the purpose of this thread.
-
@olli: It's not that 1337
-
@Gwen-Dragon i found the problem, didn't notice it before. Need to add support for www.pscp.tv also. cc: @Ruarí
-
@pesala: I dont want to chat, I just want to be first. I failed in this case though
-
@AXK Yes. I just encountered this problem again. It is not common, but not rare either. I opened a BBC video and Vivaldi froze up completely. Shift+Escape did nothing. I had to use Windows Task Manager to force Vivaldi to close.
This was the page. Now it is fine, but the first time I opened it the video was black, and Vivaldi froze up.

https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/45236/vivaldi-suddenly-cannot-open-any-web-pages
Vivaldi's network issues remain unresolved.
On my computer, Vivaldi always suddenly has no internet connection and can't open any web pages -
@Pesala ALT+F still works for me.
-
[Search] Bring back Startpage as a search option VB-65745
if you have startpage already added, the update add another entry to the searchlist. bug or not?
Win10reported as VB-65859
-
@derDay That's definitely a bug. Difficult to test, maybe, but please report it anyway.
