Vivaldi should enable "Create shortcut..." for any URL
-
In Google Chrome, a shortcut to app can be created easily with any URL, any website by clicking this in the menu:
However, I can't find that 'Create shortcut...' menu item in Vivaldi menu. I can see it in tab context-menu (right click on tab) but that 'Create shortcut...' menu item is shown only for some URLs (possibly with PWA manifest?), for example, mobile.twitter.com.
Also I have enabled PWA in vivaldi://experiments but it is still shown in some URLs only.
I suggestion is:
Vivaldi should enable 'Create shortcut...' for all websites, not just those with PWA manifest. -
Agreed! I mainly use Brave because this feature is missing in Vivaldi. This is such a useful feature for heavily used resource websites, the kind I return to daily in my work - it literally turns a frequently used resource into a self-contained & much more manageable application. Not sure why Vivaldi doesn't have this, but I'd return to using Vivaldi if it were there.
