About a week ago, I was having issues trying to get my mobile and desktop clients to sync correctly. I signed out of the desktop and re-authed my Vivaldi account, and things eventually started working right.

However, I ran into a weird quirk - now, in addition to my 'Phone' and 'Desktop' clients, there was a third device named after my computer (let's call it 'COMPUTER').

Try as I might, I can't figure out where that profile is supposed to be, and I don't know how to get rid of it. The official documentation (https://help.vivaldi.com/article/sync/) says to go to the Sync settings on the client device in order to log out and delete the data, but COMPUTER doesn't exist.

      Any help?

(side note: Vivaldi's spam bot really doesn't like it when I hyperlink the phrase 'official documentation'...for some reason)

"Phantom" devices aren't devices or profiles. They are just back up data on the sync server. If you clear server-side data, it will disappear.

But you probably don't have to. As far as I know, it will simply time out and disappear on its own - in a couple of weeks.
