Solved Android Block Sites
-
Hello. There are currently no setting to block sites. I liked to avoid using websites and having a log in ban would be nice. I'm using currently a app to block Twitter but only works in Google Chrome

Actually, since Vivaldi now has a ad/tracker blocker, support for custom lists and support for blocking whole webpages, this is now doable!
Follow this tutorial and in Vivaldi add it as tracker or ad list:- Vivaldi button
- Settings
- Tracker and Ad blocking
- Manage Tracker Blocking Sources/Manage Ad Blocking Sources
- Add New Source
- Paste the address of your uploaded text file
So when you want to unblock a site, you just add a tracker/ad block exception to it.

Do it on a hosts level to make it work with any browser or app, including Vivaldi.

Hi,
I support this feature request.
As blocking in hosts files is not acceptable for common Android users.
Blocking toxic websites (like newspapers, twitter, etc during holidays or for a long time) without option to unblock could be a great features.
American software developers will never do it because it's not in their mindset. But European ones like Vivaldi can do it.
Feature could be:- 1 hour / day max on some websites (1 or x hours)
- block a website for 1 month without possibility to unblock
- block permanently with possibility to unblock for 5mn with a password.
It' examples. On Android, the Blocksite app work well with Chrome.
Best regards,

I support this feature request. As a smartphone user, I want to be able to block websites without editing a hostfile or create a custom adblock list in the cloud.
