Non-grid tab layout

Basically, I'm asking for the "traditional" tab view in Chrome for Android rather than the grid view Vivaldi offers.
The grid view is sub-optimal for big phones because you need to reach to the top of the screen to interact with certain tabs. Further, you can't swipe tabs away with the grid view, but you can with the regular tab view.
I'm aware that the simplified tab view exists, but that takes out tab previews.

I much prefer the card stack because it's more useful.
Site A open in a tab, Site B open in another. With the card stack, I can open the card stack from B and refer back to A without having to fully switch to (and often reload) A.
Especially useful when comparing model numbers, prices, codes, whatever when I just want to glance at a different page without dealing with that page's reload and reset.
