The first of many – Vivaldi Android Browser snapshot 1624.207
you've redesigned the version box in the blog top right, but left the stable number on old. Again. Doesn't anyone see that?
@mib2berlin: I think, you should update mobile version too

@ruario perfect, fabulous , thanks!
@mib2berlin: oh, I am sorry, this bug is "fixed" in 2.7 snapshot on mobile

Hi, I am on latest snapshot of Vivaldi on all devices.
Kicked beta from my mobil already.

there is one small/big thing i can't stand with vivaldi mobile
it's the tabs view. probably any other browser allows me to swipe tabs, either horizontally or vertically to get rid of them
with vivaldi i have to precisely hit that X icon
please re-think tabs list view or make an option to have tabs list more like other browsers

@mib2berlin Yeah, after several hours I got the notes duplication on desktop too, seems this isn't fixed.
@dremlon: I just saw it but cannot update it from where I am. I'll see if I can find someone to fix it

@jacekn You are not alone: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/40056/swipe-to-close-a-tab
Be sure to upvote
Although I definitely prefer the design of the tab list to the more or less full frame tab list in other chromium based browsers. But yes, swipe-to-close would be nice.

BTW: The ZenUI launcher on my ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS570KL) crashed when the snapshot finished installed, just like it did with the beta.

If we can't customize the search engines, then it would be best if we could have a way to turn off the Safe Search on DuckDuckGo. They filter way too many legitimate search results when Safe Search is on, even when just looking for innocent things (tech information for instance), and it drives me crazy when Safe Search is on. I know DuckDuckGo saves a cookie and retains the last state of this setting, however that doesn't persist in a private tab, which I happen to use quite frequently.
Also, I don't see why the default search engine needs a mandatory exception for location and notifications. It doesn't matter what search engine I'm using, they do not need to know where I am, and they don't need to be sending me notifications either. Fortunately I can take these permissions away in Android's settings, however I'd prefer to be able to configure Vivaldi for optimum privacy without needing to resort to tweaking Android settings.

Hope add gesture mode in before going final. Seriously the new chrome mobile version like copy cat of the Vivaldi mobile right. With the collection of tab.

No problem, it was just a bit surprising that suddenly another "new" version appeared, apparently.
After taking a look, I thought (secondly) - oops, the vivaldis suddenly became so busy(?!). an even closer look followed...
[BUG] Speed dial (and then any other default folder into the bookmarks) doesn't translate to its' local language translation. This duplicates speed dial and every other default folder, existing in the bookmarks.
Italian Vivaldi snapshot of my Desktop is in conflict with the english Vivaldi snapshot on my mobile.
As shown, Speed Dial translates to Selezione Veloce, in Italian. So, as soon as you sync Vivaldi mobile, you'll create an English duplicate in the bookmarks.
Please, fix this.
[BUG] can't login to https://vivaldi.com/blog/snapshots/the-first-of-many-vivaldi-android-browser-snapshot-1624-207/ using Vivaldi Mobile. Can you?
I'm writing this post from the forum.vivaldi.net/compose page, that is from the forums, and not from the snapshots' blog page, because the login process of the blog page redirects me here and when I reach vivaldi.com/blog pages again, I am not logged in.
Can't login into the blog's pages, can you?

Hi, make a bug report from your mobile, please, developer rarely have time to browse forums.
when I search in play store for "Vivaldi Browser Snapshot" it shows all kinds of other browsers, but not the snapshot. Not sure if you can change anything here, it is most lily a play store issue.
Perhaps you can try to add some keywords.
The direct link from the blog works now (after the known "not in your country" issue). (My country is Germany).
Thanks for Vivaldi, Dieter

I had the same thing. It's kind of strange that you can type in exactly the name of the software and it doesn't come up at all! I scrolled through the first page of totally irrelevant results then just used the forum link instead. (The link to the APK I mean... Play wasn't letting me install it at the time.)
