Extension Bar Modification
-
@potmeklecbohdan
3 days now and it always happens when I close my laptop for the night and reopen it.It seems to happen whenever I put my laptop to sleep for an extended period. Not sure how long but doing it for just a minute doesn't work. I imagine it is way less then 6-8 hours.
-
@snickerpop I'm sorry then… I always shut down my computer and when it's on, I couldn't use it if I would put it to sleep.

Thank you, I feel like it might be out of scope anyways, but I'll need to test another modification to see what happens
At least we know why you couldn't reproduce it. -
Since the last snapshot (1732.13), the JS should not be needed (and even should not work); I think all is now doable w/ CSS.
-
CSS verison seems to be way more stable
Can't tell it not native to the browser.
Is their a way to scroll through the hidden extensions? -
@snickerpop This should make the popup three-column (in snapshot 1735.3):
.extensionPopupIcons > .button-popup { width: 102px; left: calc(var(--popupLeftOffset) - 51px); } .extensionPopupIcons > .button-popup > .button-popup-wrapper { width: 100%; } .button-toolbar.ExtensionDropdownIcon { display: inline-flex; }
And this should reduce its height to 1 button (
34px
), making others accessible by scrolling:.extensionPopupIcons > .button-popup > .button-popup-wrapper { height: 34px; overflow-y: scroll; } .extensionPopupIcons > .button-popup > .button-popup-wrapper::-webkit-scrollbar { display: none; }

@potmeklecbohdan
Thanks change it to.extensionPopupIcons > .button-popup {
width: 415px;
left: calc(var(--popupLeftOffset) - 360px);Just so it will show 12 icon on each row
-
We did it boys this is built into the lastest snapshot
-
FYI:Yesterday's update to Stable 4.0.2312.24 broke the the mods to the overflow popup.
Ver 38
Ver 40 -
@pizzapops In 4.0 this should work
.extensionIconPopupMenu { --popupWidth: calc(3 * var(--buttonWidth)) !important; }

@potmeklecbohdan
Thanks for the quick fix. I had to do some tinkering to go 9 wide and account for my buttonized icons. I like it.
