Blocking email senders
-
Hello,
I've looked for the answer to this online, but have had no luck...
Is there a way to block specific email addresses or domains from sending email to me ?
I'd love to know, thanks.
(Not including usernaame so I don't get even more email.)
I'm currently using Thunderbird for my email, by the way. -
@vaporninja thanks for reaching out and asking this great question. As @Gwen-Dragon mentioned you can report the sender following the help page or you can forward the spam messages you receive to [email protected] and then we blacklist the sender so that no other Vivaldi members will get spam from the same sender/domain.
Also you can use filters and the delete the emails right away, or move them to spam folder (which helps our filter to learn from it as well). Here's a screenshot showing how to do it via the webmail interface:
- go to mail.vivaldi.net
- select settings at the top right of your screen
- select filters on the left column of the screen
- create a filter similar to the one shown below
I hope this helps, let us know otherwise.

Thanks, but...
I am concerned about personal harassers, not exactly spam emails.
I run a few websites, and I want to have a way to contact me through email.
I'd like to know if there's a way to block offending emails from individuals who might otherwise send legitimate emails to other Vivaldi users. -

In that case, why not use Filters to send the emails straight to Discard/Delete or Junk?

OK yeah , I suppose I could do that...
I can add an email address to the filter ?
I'll look and see how to do that.. I'm using Thunderbird...
Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks for the input ! -
@vaporninja Here's also a quick tutorial about how to filter messages in ThunderBird: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/organize-your-messages-using-filters
Does it help you better?
