Fullscreen elements display

Hello since the last three revision of Vivaldi (Snapshot version)
I noticed some problems by playing videos in fullscreen on Youtube and Netflix
On Youtube, the text "Press ESC to quit fullscreen mode" can sometime be displayed forever
The video controls and titles are also not disapearing completly and freeze like this
On the Netflix side, subtitles are always displayed when they should disapear until a new sentence is loaded to refresh them (somekind like the youtube visual problem)

@PurpleHeart Basic question : did you try with the extensions deactivated? Just to make sure it isn't due to one of them.
I have the same configuration and didn't notice what you describe (for Youtube; I don't use Netflix) -
Hello there,

I can not reproduce. YT is own issues.
please, run the test case bellow, just in case.In absence of any advice, I'll have to skip the Netflix report.
Keep in touch

I have the same configuration and didn't notice what you describe (for Youtube; I don't use Netflix)I completely forgot that detail after some advance testing by testing my extensions one by one, it looks like it's due to Google's PiP extension.
I feel so dumb to don't even thinked about some extensions... so yes, this is the culprit: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg/related
How the PiP itself can screw the overlay itself even when you don't directly use it, I don't know, but it does.
So yup thanks for the help and let's wait a future extension / chromium update to see if it will be fixed in the future. -
@PurpleHeart I don't know that extension but are you sure you still need it? Are you aware Vivaldi has now its own PiP feature?
Edit : how it works in action : https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/282257 -
@Ornorm Well more than 6 months ago this extension was necessary to make the PiP work with Vivaldi (+ changing some chromium flags).
They maybe have improved it and I missed some patchnotes but i think it's still needed. If a moderator or anyone can confirm that I will appreciate it
-
@PurpleHeart It really depends on the need you have (maybe additional features that aren't existing in the native Vivaldi PiP and that you use regularly?).
The PiP is working for me without any issue. -
Well the extension itself is basically an icon shortcut to the chromium PiP so i think it shouldn't interfere in any case
An another extension i'm using is uBlock Origin but even if it's disabled the occurence still appear (And yes i'm restarting the browser when i'm disabling / enabling extension to refresh everything correctly)I tried the PiP without Google's extension and i also have this result if I hover the mouse on the PiP zone like it's never loosing the hover effect
So yeah i don't know, it's kinda strange to have this bahevior with nothing enabled for that one (But removing the PiP extension fixes the fullscreen problems so it's a start) I will just need to wait some update from Google and we'll see ^-^
Thanks for the support
