Seeing this weird 'd'-ish shaped character repeating itself.

It's not everywhere. At first I thought it was just an issue with a group of emails I've received, then I saw this on Telegram.
Then I loaded up Chrome & Edge, and no problems there. Any idea?

@Cydramech đ According to MS Character Map it is Unicode, "U+0111" "Latin small letter D with cross".
Be cautious here as some malware is written using letters from different languages that resemble English letters so the user will think they are legit.
Or it may just be an issue with the way the font is rendered. I am sure one of the Moderators will be able to shed more light on this for you. -

Are your fonts on Windows broken?
The page try to use this: "Lucida Grande", "Lucida Sans Unicode", Arial, Helvetica, Verdana.Doesn't seem so. I even tried restoring my font settings to default and used a program used to restore fonts in the registry. I can use every single one of them in a Word document, and again, the page appears just fine on Edge & Chrome.

Furthermore, I can even copy/paste the text from my Vivaldi browser and post to Word and they'll be rendered correctly.

Sometimes such weird display happens if GPU/graphics has hardware acceleration enabled.
Try to change in Vivaldi Settings → Webpages the Uue of Hardware Acceleration.Unfortunately, that didn't work either. Suppose I'll just have to view some stuff in another browser.

@Cydramech For me the page works in Windows 10 (1809).
May be you have a broken Font Substitution of Windows.Try to this:
Check in Guest Window or Private Window to reduce impact of extensions
Perhaps this helps.
If not, the reinstall Vivaldi.
If this does not help then Reset browser profile.Alright, I'll just have to try it later.

@Gwen-Dragon worked OK for me too. Follow Gwen's advice when you can.

So this thread can be closed (or left open, I don't know) since whatever the problem was I can't even duplicate it either to see what else will work (and prior to reinstalling Windows, neither reinstalling Vivaldi nor resetting browser profile worked for what it's worth).
